Wages Of Sin?

I'm not the one saying He tortures people
Right its not called torture its called punishment which He has absolute right to render according as He has had it written, not according to how you ''think" or would like to replace your judgment for His...Im sure you will understand better when you get there, that hell is not a visit to the dentist office.

If Jesus did not suffer eternally, then He did not pay the penalty for our sins, if that penalty is eternal suffering. His goodness makes Him an acceptable sacrifice to God, which is Biblical. Saying that that goodness somehow allows Him to pay our debt of eternal torment w/o Him being required to actually be eternally tormented is not Biblical. Now, if the penalty of sin is simply DEATH (cessation of life), then Jesus paid that in full.
This is blasphemy against the work of Christ, and a rejection of the gospel altogether!

You going around in circles now. Jesus sacrifice for mankind was eternal. He was offered up through the eternal Spirit of God. His blood which was spilt will never dry up as it has been sprinkled upon God;s mercy seat in Heaven. His body with it,s nail and spear scars he will have fore ever. Did he have to submit himself to this for eternity? No, He choose to.

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Heb 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
Heb 9:13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.
Heb 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

2Pe 3:3 ¶ Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Hades IS the grave! It is where the spirits of the unrighteous go to await their final judgment. It certainly isn't a fun place to find oneself in. However eternal hell, the lake of fire, is their final destination.

No, the "Spirit shall return to God Who gave it", does it not? The Spirit, whether of the righteous or the wicked, returns to God at death. "If He sets His heart upon man; if He gathers to Himself His Spirit and His Breath, then all flesh shall perish together and man shall again return unto dust." Job doesn't say the Spirit waits in Hades, he says it goes back to God, just like Solomon says.

If man's spirit or soul is eternal and the wicked will spend eternity in Hell why would anyone need the gift of God, eternal life? Doesn't everyone already have eternal life, after all their immortal.
Mans soul is eternal, yet the quality of that life will be dependant on weather you or not ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and ask him to save you from your sins.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Do it today, He has been waiting!

You confuse "result" with "process". Does "eternal redemption" means that Jesus will redeem us, and redeem us, and redeem us again and again by going continually to the cross? No, it is not the process that is eternal, but the result. In the same way, "eternal judgment" does not mean that God will exclaim "order in the court, order in the court" over and over for eternity; it means the result of His judgment is eternal.

I don't understand the atonement? If the wages of sin is eternal torment, the the ONLY way Jesus can atone for that is that HE be eternally tormented. I don't care how people slice it, that's simply the fact. His shedding of blood (DEATH) did in fact atone for our sins, b/c the wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal torment.

Yes, you do not understand the atonement.

You're welcome to present the passages that say the wages of sin is eternal conscious torment. No, God is just and He said the soul that sins will die, not burn in Hell forever. The most severe penalty for sin in Scripture is death. God said the soul that sins will die, but ECT says that's not true, it says the soul that sins will suffer eternal conscious torment. In effect the doctrine questions God's honesty saying the punishment for sin is not what God said it is. So, maybe I'm not the one whose doctrine needs to be careful come judgement day.

Actually, hell is hotter than most people think b/c it "leaves neither root nor branch", what scholars admit is a proverbial expression for complete and total destruction, not the maintaining of an everlasting, but wretched existence.
Here is another error you have in your thinking. Scholars have no authority concerning Holy Scripture. They have no clue to what it means. The Apostle Paul wrote about people like that.

Col 2:8 See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). (AMP)

Jesus said....

Luk 10:21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

Unless you become born again you will continue to learn, and never be able to come to the knowledge of the truth which only the Holy Spirit can give.

THAT is not a reference to the final Judgment! Malachi 4 refers to the Day of the Lord, the second coming of Christ!

Then why are you arguing that "aionios" means eternal? It's the scholars who make the dictionaries that say it is, not the Scriptures.

The GIFT is God's righteousness and His Kingdom---forever.
