All they have is Revelation. We got the whole thing, so we win. There is no question in my mind that Annihilationism is true. There are hundreds of verses to back this up but the traditionalists will always throw the same verse out over and over again because that's all they have.

Again, you using a physical place to describe a place God uses to hold evil people. If we go over to Israel today will we find evil people that have died living in this place near Jerusalem? Have you forgotten that hell will be cast into the lake of Fire, not Jerusalem.

Sins in a person is real, it is not a metaphor. Death is real not a metaphor.
Do you have any sins in you? Are you a sinner? If you are and you are not born again in Christ then you my friend are dead, yet you are still alive!!

We win? You act like you are on a different side. Your attitude lately is annoying. If you need to believe in Annihilation to believe in God, well I feel sorry for you.

Why post scripture? You and others seem to just make the words mean whatever you like and act as if they have no value or meaning..:LOL: Scripture has been posted again and again that prove the errors of your doctrine! All that one can do is remind folks like you of the coming judgment that against folks who are so wicked as to pervert the truth.

Yea its ALL just a metaphor unless its something that they think promotes there false doctrines! :rolleyes:

Pr 1:7 ¶ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

See we really dont need to "fear" God...that's just a metaphor and He really dont "judge" the wicked ...that's just a metaphor...and sin is not really that bad...its just a metaphor...And we really dont need the Blood of Christ and sincere faith..its just a metaphor! These people better hope that hell is a honey moon like they think!

The evidence is overwhelming when you really look at the issue.
 
It seems that people are unclear about the afterlife b/c they are unclear about LIFE. So, to clear things up: The Spirit is NOT the Soul. These are two diff things. "...piercing even to the DIVIDING ASSUNDER of SOUL and SPIRIT, of the joints and marrow." Hebrews 4:12
The Bible says that Jesus' SOUL clearly went DOWN, but His SPIRIT went UP.

Now that we see that the Spirit and the Soul are two diff things, then the rest is easy:
Genesis 2:7: "God formed man of the DUST of the ground (Body), breathed into his nostrils the BREATH OF LIFE (SPIRIT), and man B E C A M E a living Soul." Notice, it does not say that God "gave man a soul", but that the combination of the two PRODUCED a Living Soul (Body + Breath = Living Soul). The opposite takes place at death: "And so the dust shall return to the earth as it was and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it. Eccl. 12:7. The Spirit, whether of the righteous or wicked, returns to God at death. What happens to the Soul? It ceases to be. It is DEAD.

In much the same way, a Light bulb (Body) + electric current (God's life giving Spirit) = LIGHT (Living Soul). Switch off the current, and the light CEASES TO BE.

We do not have native immortality; that is a GIFT to the righteous alone, who "seek for glory, honor, and immortality" according to Paul, who also says that Jesus "...ONLY hath immortality."

Jesus did not suffer eternally because it was not possible for a innocent man who never sinned to be holden to it. We deserve eternal death ,but not Jesus.

Act 2:23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.
Act 2:24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.

If Jesus did not suffer eternally, then He did not pay the penalty for our sins, if that penalty is eternal suffering. His goodness makes Him an acceptable sacrifice to God, which is Biblical. Saying that that goodness somehow allows Him to pay our debt of eternal torment w/o Him being required to actually be eternally tormented is not Biblical. Now, if the penalty of sin is simply DEATH (cessation of life), then Jesus paid that in full.

Jesus didn't suffer eternal torment because His payment was the shedding of his innocent blood! The penalty for sin is eternal death (NOT annihilation, either, because spirit is immortal), and the converse is a reward of eternal life for receiving His payment.

I don't understand the atonement? If the wages of sin is eternal torment, the the ONLY way Jesus can atone for that is that HE be eternally tormented. I don't care how people slice it, that's simply the fact. His shedding of blood (DEATH) did in fact atone for our sins, b/c the wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal torment.

Actually, hell is hotter than most people think b/c it "leaves neither root nor branch", what scholars admit is a proverbial expression for complete and total destruction, not the maintaining of an everlasting, but wretched existence.

If man's spirit or soul is eternal and the wicked will spend eternity in Hell why would anyone need the gift of God, eternal life? Doesn't everyone already have eternal life, after all their immortal.

"scholars" admit? lol no respected scholar among the true saints of God accept this sort of rejection of the truth.. Yes and Mormons have scholars too..:eek:
