Wages Of Sin?

Why not, the wages of sin is death. Annihilation is death. Eternal Conscience Torment is not death. Seems one of these fits the Scriptures and one doesn't
So, you believe not God when he told Adam and Eve that the day they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they would die? Did they die? What kind of death did they die? Or did God lie?

Jesus is now the high priest. Aaron was simply the foreshadow. The priesthood itself is never vacated.

11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
(Heb 7:11-14 KJV)

How many kinds of death are there? Physical death, and spiritual death. Which one is the most important? Which one separates one from God?

I know all about that, but it still remains that there is a priesthood and always will be, with Jesus as the high priest FOREVER.

The beast and the false prophet were cast into lake of fire at the beginning of the millennium.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

After 1000 years the devil is cast into the same lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet are, yet the beast and the false prophet are not annihilated, and they have been there for 1000 years!!! Why? Because they will be tormented day, and night for ever, and ever along with the devil!!!

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The Beast and the False Prophet are men that are inhabited by demonic spirits. The Beast is referred to as a man and yet in Revelation he is said to ascend from the abyss.

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. (Rev 11:7 KJV)

What we can conclude is that the men who are inhabited by these spirits will burn up in the fire and the demonic spirits will be in the tormented. However, again this is not eternal, the passage acutally reads, unto the ages of the ages. We also know that this is not eternal because the Lake of Fire, Gehenna will eventually, be restored and made holy to the Lord.

38 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. 39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. 40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.
(Jer 31:1 KJV)

There's no way that Gehenna can be a place of eternal torment as it will be restored and made holy to the Lord.

Why then was Adam and Eve still alive?

There is nothing in the account of Adam and Eve that says anything about spiritual death that idea is inferred because Adam didn't die with 24 hours. However, there is an ancient Jewish and early Christian understanding of the passage. David said and Peter quoted that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years. Adam did not live to be a thousand years old, no one has lived to be a thousand years old.

The Book of Jubilees chapter 4

29 And at the close of the nineteenth jubilee, in the seventh week in the sixth year [930 A.M.] thereof, Adam died, and all his sons buried him in the land of his creation, and he was the first to be buried in the earth.
30 And he lacked seventy years of one thousand years; for one thousand years are as one day in the testimony of the heavens and therefore was it written concerning the tree of knowledge: 'On the day that you eat thereof you shall die.' For this reason he did not complete the years of this day; for he died during it.

I have no idea what you are talking about!!! Get real here, don't make things up.

Mar 9:47 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, (géenna)
Mar 9:48 'where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.'

The false prophet is a real human person who will be thrown into the lake of fire which will be tormented for ever, and ever, and will never be inhalated.

So, we can assume God lied when he said they would die in the day they ate? The person who "inferred" death was God.
If physical death is the only death there is then why would Jesus need to come if we are alive right now?

Col 2:13 And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

I am sorry, but there are two types of deaths, one is physical, and the other is spiritual. Adam and Even suffered spiritual death the day they disobeyed God, and they suffered for it by becoming fearful, ashamed which is torment!! Later they died physically.

Yes, he is a man. a man who is indwelt by a demon. However, as Scripture says Gehenna will be restored and made holy to the Lord, it can't burn forever.

There is nothing in Scripture about spiritual death that pertains to man, you do a computer search you won't find anything. The passages from Col. and Eph. are using death as a metaphor. Neither passage says anything about spiritual things.

The Scriptures clearly show that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years.

4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. (Psa 90:4 KJV)

This is the passage Peter is alluding to.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2Pe 3:8 KJV)

You are trying use a physical place to represent a place of torment which God used for holding evil people. Gehenna which God used was not near Jerusalem, it was only a type.
There was a place near Jerusalem where they dumped bodies to be burned, but there is coming a day in which this real estate will be included within the walls of the city. The bodies that were there are not coming back alive.

If death is only a metaphor, then Christ died for no reason!!!

It's not a type, Jesus said the wicked will be thrown into Gehenna. Gehenna is a real place.

23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. {from one new...: Heb. from new moon to his new moon, and from sabbath to his sabbath}
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

(Isa 66:23-1 KJV)
