Should Homosexual Behavior Be Illegal?

Weren't you people saying that sins are crimes and crimes are sins? If they are interchangeable, you better prepare yourselves for a long time in jail because none of us is free from sin.

Crimes are the result of sins, not the other way around. One is not a criminal because of wrong acts, he is a criminal because of abiding sin. Yes, those who are dead in their sins are in bondage.(jail)

Rom 6:17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,
Rom 6:18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.

well your trying to confuse the issue...Before the Lord is a standard that He has ordained and as a citizen of this country we have legal rights to establish standards that promote the well-being of our society... Most people understand this concept...

And yes I am free from sin according to the truth of the gospel...:D

Ro 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

See we have a right in this country to form laws that represent our moral values and uphold the well-being of our society according to the constitution that has been established by the people and for the people.

You are not free from sin. Read 1 John 1:8.

Sorry buddy I am free...and walk in the Power of that freedom....:D

1Jo 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

See you guys have wicked hearts and think others are like you, but you cannot judge my heart according to your wickedness.

You better start building a lot more jails because everyone has fallen short. Except you of course.

Well like has been explained, these are two different issues. And we do not promote ungodliness by pointing to the faults of others. Is there any law based upon moral principals that you would uphold? Or are you lawless?

What about the law of love? That's the one we should be following. Here

“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” (Romans 13:8-10)

Why do you think that you regard homosexuality as a sin? Because of the law of Moses. You try to impose the law of Moses on others, while refusing to live by its own standards yourself.

No, it is the law of God and what He considers sin trumps your idea of what constitutes sin. Never mind the homosexual act itself---it is all still fornication, and all outside of the covenant of marriage. The standard is purity.

Yes it has. If we believe that we are righteous and sinless we will be quick to cast the first stone. That's the real problem here.

If we are righteous because God considers us righteous, then we , like Jesus would not be throwing the stone that only Jesus has the right to.

You see a problem where there is none.

It is a sin, of course. I never said the opposite. This thread is about people who want to prosecute sinners (instead of prosecuting only criminals).

Love does not commit or condone sexual perversion...and love tells the truth to people who are destroying themselves in their perversions. So that they might turn from their wickedness. Read the bottom of this post!

Read the rest of thread and you will see that I pointed out the real problem here. There's people who think that they are free from sin and these are the people who are quick to judge and condemn others.

Yeah, now that you are spiritual you are ready to start throwing others into jail and beating them for sins that you yourself have committed. Don't use the word of God to justify your bigotry.

I think this line of commentary is uncalled for. The whole discussion is silly and the purpose for this thread is to bring contention. It's inane to set yourself up against the people of God and right thinking like this.
