Truth is clearly subjective in this case then. Faith is not truth, and the two should never be confused.
And if God hates all the same things you do, you should probably re-examine your faith.

The truth is that a Christian hates what God hates...namely sin. What you are doing is attacking the righteous view. Truth offends! Whitewashing is what unbelieving people do, in order to make what is hateful to God somewhat palatable to one's conscience.

In my experience, Christians try to avoid hate. I don't disagree that God hates sin. But you do not get to dictate what constitutes sin. You are NOT God.

God says what He hates. Do you believe Him or your own carnal sentiments? Either you believe God or you do not. It appears you do not.

Psalm 5:5 (NLT)
Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence,
for you hate all who do evil.

Psalm 11:5 (NLT)
The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked.
He hates those who love violence.

Leviticus 20:23 (NLT)
Do not live according to the customs of the people I am driving out before you. It is because they do these shameful things that I detest them.

Proverbs 6:16-19 (NLT)
There are six things the Lord hates—
no, seven things he detests:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that kill the innocent,
18 a heart that plots evil,
feet that race to do wrong,
19 a false witness who pours out lies,
a person who sows discord in a family.

Hosea 9:15 (NLT)
The Lord says, “All their wickedness began at Gilgal;
there I began to hate them.
I will drive them from my land
because of their evil actions.
I will love them no more
because all their leaders are rebels.

James 4:4 (NLT)
You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

I like that you are starting to use scripture to support some of your arguments.

Most of the time I do, so it is not a start! Where I may not quote it, what I speak is generally referring to what can be learned from scripture. It's the same with most everyone here, so, please don't condescend.

There are far more valid concerns about those who simply speak about what they believe and never use scripture and still argue their non-points as something that can hold water...especially in threads such as this one.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You dislike that I like something about you? LOL! I and many others have asked you in other arguments to back up what you were saying with scripture, and you failed to do so. Today I noticed that you used scripture. It was an observation of mine that I noticed, and decided to give you a compliment. Thanks for the dislike. ;)

Not so. So, you rate negatively the very scripture that so impressed you?

Phoney baloney.

Beloved, I only have positive things to say about every single word in the Bible. My negative rating was not directed at scripture, my negative rating was directed towards you, and how you treat others. You give others negative ratings so casually, and then call it bullying when others return the favor. You've given 84 dislikes, 98 disagrees, and 43 olds since you've joined on May 6.

The last time you gave me a bunch of negative ratings I ignored it. This time I gave you negative ratings back. Negative ratings don't usually bother me personally, and I rarely give them out, but I've seen other folks wanting to leave the forum because of all the negative ratings you give them. It's like you use it as a tool against others that disagree with your opinion. If you don't like receiving negative ratings, maybe you should try to be more friendly with others, even if they happen to have a different opinion then yours?

If you have a problem with me, then bring it to me in a PM, and stop this madness.

"Beloved"---this is pathetic---and phony. You have only THREE negative ratings, and I doubt very much they were from me, as I hav checked my ratings given all the way back to the beginning. I gave you about 5 DISAGREES AND DISLIKES IN ONE DISCUSSION, and they were deserved in my estimation. My right. My opinion.

This is inane, I hope you know. so, yeah, your little rampage tonight is a true abuse of the forum, and bullying.

You commented on my post, and I replied..So if you have a problem you could also pm it instead of posting it here. And, how can you say "My right. My opinion" to give negative ratings, but then if anyone gives you negative ratings its abuse of the forum, and bullying.. And in the same breath you call me pathetic and phony. Have I called you any names other than "beloved"? Who's really being the bully here beloved? You can respond in pm if you prefer to keep this private.

I did that. I suggest you do the same. 22 negative ratings in about 1-2 minutes is a temper tantrum. Ranting about how people are treated and you do this. SMH!
You're exaggerating on the time. Plus you should ask yourself how many times you post per hour, and then compare the ratio, and you will see it's not as extreme as you make it out to be.

We as Christians have sin, and that sin is in our flesh, not in ourselves. When we do stumble and sin it is not us doing it, but sin that is dwelling in us. As long as we are living in a physical body sin always will be present in our flesh. The man that became born again can never sin because that person is Christ, and he is our new life. Learning to let this new man take control of our lives takes a lifetime to learn.

nbsp; For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

nbsp; Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men
nbsp; nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
nbsp; And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

b> No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

What I understand from the passage that you cited is this: (1) God considers us sinless because of our faith in Christ; (2) our faith in Christs leads us to sanctification and changes us. However, in my opinion, this passage does not say that we do not commit sins. That would be contrary to the rest of the scriptures.
