Unstoppable

Out of interest, what will be the fate of non-believers such as myself?

When should I expect this to happen?

do you mean IF you continue in your disbelief ???
I don't think you will .. you are being called by the Most High ..
you have a role to play, and a place of honor that awaits ..
answer the call ..

for all .. watch for Jerusalem to be divided in two Hebrew/Arab ..
and watch for the 3rd Temple to be built .. then the time draws very near ..

I don't discount that my outlook may change thats why I ask. I like the sound of "you have a role to play" makes me feel quite important!
I'd just like to know, in a nutshell, what the consequences will be if I remain an unbeliever. If I'm doomed then it seems a bit harsh as I care for my wife and family and work hard and don't do any harm to anyone.
Surely that puts me on an equal footing even if I am atheist?

you are important ..
and if I can serve you in anyway .. just ask ..

mankind is not some toy God created .. no more then is your family to you ..
His relation to us, is no different then your's to your own family ..
as the father in your house, you should have a pretty good understanding of God ..

as a teenager, I tested my father's will ..
and He, because He loved me (and wanted the best for me in my life) ..
let me be rebellious to His upbringing He taught ..
and as such .. He said .. then go .. and do things your way ..
so I left .. and what a ride .. but ..
when my eyes opened, I realized he was right, and he did seek what was best for me ..
because what I did think was, ended up as empty ..

so I am a prodigal son .. and the love of a father must let you go ..
but that love .. always is there ..
love is indeed the strongest element in the universe ..

the answer to your question is this ..
the same as the prodigal son never returning ..
you will be bankrupt, alone, and full of regrets ..

the prodigal son in the parable had no family of his own ..
but when you do, then your decisions you make should not be made on only your behalf ..

God Bless you ..

Well thanks for the blessing, might be a bit wasted on me though. I don't see how I should understand God if I'm a father in my house though. I appreciate your words I suppose but mostly they seem to be riddles "and the love of a father must let you go..but that love..same as the prodigal son never returning..you will be bankrupt" ..etc

Maybe I'm a bit thick in these matters but that is just incomprehensible to me.

it's all good .. I sometimes try using analogies that people can relate to ..
God allows us to have free-will .. if you force someone to do something, it is natural to go the other way .. so "letting people go" means just that, not forcing them ..
kinda reminds me of a woman that says "I will change him" .. the guy may change for her, but he is not being true to himself, and sooner or later "will change back" .. so it MUST be a persons own choice to return to, or join God's family ..

God gives us what we choose ..
if you return or join .. then God welcomes you into heaven ..
because that is what you chose ..
if you do not return or join .. then God leaves you outside, which these go to hell ..
because that is what you chose ..

He tells us what the options are, and lets us decide which we will choose ..
and He grants your choice ..

people have always sought "the meaning of life" ..
and if we exclude God from the equation, we will never find the meaning ..

God Bless you ..

The World is slowly getting the " Sheep" ready for the soon coming One world system. Credit and Debit cards, Eye Scanners, etc, etc. It is slowly.being introduced so acceptance of the " Mark" taken in your right hand or forehead will not be a " biggie" to those blinded by Satan. They will be told no food, no job, nothing unless you take the Mark. They will gladly take it wanting their lives not to be in jeopardy, or their kids, etc. They will gladly swear allegiance to the person or thing The Bible calls " The Beast". Their next meal, keeping a job, and enjoying themselves trumps serving The Lord. People usually believe and listen to something they can see visually or feel. The Devil already has in play Thousands of excuses and reasons why you should party on and don: t believe in some invisible God. The Atheists and even some Christian Churches no longer teach Obey and Fear God first. They are " Afraid" it might, "offend" their worshippers.

Why should we teach children to fear God? I teach mine to respect others and show them the science of the Universe and to question things they dont understand.
Seems my family are going to hell which is a pity, mind you I don't believe in Satan either so perhaps we'll be OK.
There are so many announcements from religious groups about the end of the world/rapture that don't come true that they just lose all credibility.

Good Morning!

Let me address your remarks if may, and prayerfully you can figure out what Christians must do in their walk with God

Why should we fear God?

John 3 v 27: A Man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

God is the one who gives to every soul on earth. You may ask how can he arrange it so this person receives this and another that, etc? Very simply being God he uses others to fulfill another's needs

Revelation 17 v 17: For God has put in their
hearts to fulfill and to agree....etc
In that verse it is telling how he can and will convince people to do whatever he wishes for whatever reason he so desires.

Which finally leads to this verse about why we should all fear and respect God...

Psalm 111 v 10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that DO HIS COMMANMENTS: his praise endures forever.

Satan is the Adversary of God as well as every living soul on earth. He likes for people to believe he is a Myth and cannot do any harm. He likes that thinking in people' s minds so he can continue killing and destroying people everyday.

So, when you say you and your family will be " Alright" you are living in delusion.
You maybe OK right now in your life, but eventually Satan will find a weakness among all of you..and slowly work his way in to do his evil...Drinking...Drugs...Promiscuity...Porno..My Goodness the list is endless. This is why we must pray and seek The Lord daily and obey his commands to keep Satan out of our life. He never quits however. If one thing does not work he tries another tactic until he suceeds. He knows God is Holy and hates sin. His job is to win people over so they never get a revelation of the truth and their future...until it is too late after they die someday. Once you leave this walk of life whatever you did or did not do is over, no second chance.

Regarding The End it is coming. We see Bible Prophecy made thousands of years ago coming to past daily right now. It takes an exhaustive study of the Scriptures to lay it all out however and even then people may not catch it all. Bless you however for coming here to tell your story. I will pray for you and your family that you will seek God in prayer and let him lead you to a man of God where you are at. You need to find The Lord and he shall teach and guide you and give you necessary wisdom..

If you think that drinking, drugs, promiscuity and porn are the sole preserve of aetheists then you're sadly mistaken, especially porn.
I have a few beers but don't bother with the other sins and I expect my children to do likewise but only because thats how they are brought up and NOT because of the fear of god and the threat of hell. That just seems like child abuse to me?
As for the end, it will come eventually when the sun exhausts its ability to fuse Hydrogen and then Helium and becomes a red giant star. I imagine we will have long messed up the planet before that happens and hopefully established colonies elsewhere in the solar system.

I used those sins as a point of reference, never stated all Atheists do these particular things. I also stated after that their will untold thousands of other things the Devil can get you involved in also besides the ones I mentioned.

There is a very old saying: "You can lead a horse down to the water, but you cannot make him drink".

So, what you are saying is you don' t need God, And you totally trust " Fate" and " Karma" to get you through this miserable life down here on planet earth. Then when you die as we all do, For you it is over poof....over. Sadly, That is not the case. You have a soul that belongs to God believe it or not it is true.

You will spend eternity after you die in one of two places....With God in his presence with others who believed and followed him and his word. No more pain, sorrow, bills to pay, bad hair days, or anymore negative things forever.....or....The Lake of Fire where all the human garbage will go forever. The Sinners...The know it all who did what they wanted to do, who rejected God and thought it was all a joke, a myth, calling Jesus " The sky fairy" etc, etc.

A Wise man would investigate the facts before he/ she totally rejects an eternal life of peace and harmony..Amen

I do investigate facts and thats what I base my opinions on. I can't see any facts in what you say, where is evidence for a 'soul' for instance?
I understand people have a fear of death, thats only natural but to dedicate your living years to the chance their may be something after just seems a waste.
Incidentally, I dont have a 'miserable' life quite the opposite in fact. I enjoy my work, enjoy my time with family, I have travelled extensively and met lots of people from different cultures. I enjoy having a few beers on a Friday after work with friends and watching a game of football and all these things are possible without a god.
If thats what makes me 'human garbage' then quite frankly I'll be happy to join with my fellow rubbish when I die.
The thing is, there is no proof from beyond the grave so you'll never have to regret wasting your beautiful time on earth yearning for something afterwards. In the words of a hypothetical believer who just passed away "oh dear, wish I hadn't wasted all those years for nothing"

I will answer your questions with this particular scripture. Apostle Thomas did not want to believe Jesus, was standing in front of him after his body died on the cross. Thomas stated unless he himself could put his fingers into the nail prints he would not believe that was Jesus standing there...here is what transpired: John 20 v 27-29
"Then said he (Jesus) to Thomas: Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands, and reach hither thy hands, and thrust it into my side ( a where the Roman Soldier stabbed him with a spear to make certain he was dead) and BE NOT Faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and My God!! Jesus said unto him Thomas, because thou has seen me, Thou has beleived: Blessed are they that have NOT SEEN ME and yet have BELEIVED".

I I Corinthians 4 v 18 " While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: For the things Seen are TEMPORAL; but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL."

Nothing wrong with enjoying a little Football, I am a College Football fan ( Alabama) myself..fun to see. Drinking? not good.
I gave up drinking, Smoking, a Little MJ, Gambling, Those things are tools of Satan. God represents Spirituality and Holiness and does not want us to slowly destroy ourselves.

In The Navy I got to see 21 foreign countries on an Aircraft Carrier. Like you I have also traveled extensively. My Wife is from The Phillipines, I met her where I live and after we married I became a missionary to that country and lived there 3 years.

We have a few things in common then. The main problem I have is that I don't ever judge anyone for their beliefs - free choice (well amost). Believers, however, always say that atheists will burn in hell, have no purpose in life, are sinners and a new one to me "human garbage". I would NEVER say that about anyone.
Your faith in a god is a direct result of what you have been tought or preached. If you had been born to a remote South American tribe or a buddhist family you would either believe in no god or a different god entirely. All these people are destined for hell according to you, regardless of how they conduct themselves. Thats the part of religion that doesn't sit well with me more than anything else.

When I stated " Human Garbage" I was not addressing Atheists or any particular groups. I actually had in mind the Murderers, Rapists, Pedophiles that kind of garbage. Forgive me if you thought differently. On your speaking about tribes in South America who never heard of Jesus, etc. Well, I know an Evangelist in Brazil who has founded many, many, outreach ministry churches over the last several years. There are other missionaries all over our planet preaching the Gospel of Jesus.

The Bible tells us, The end will not come until his gospel is first preached throughout the world. I can bring up the verse if you care to see it. Right now I must get ready for Church this morning. Get back to me this afternoon after 2 PM central time...God Bless.

Presumably though, with a large proportion of those convicted for such crimes being religious, they won't be joining me in hell?

Churches are full of people going to Hell. It takes more then saying " I am a faithful member of XYZ Church" You have to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

I take your point. Still, atheists seem to be under represented in prison populations in most studies which is interesting. At least I have a good chance going to hell with morally decent types I suppose.
