Hi Bob, not all that sure about your point. Seems to me, that would put 'teacher-types/'studiers' at an advantage over others. I am thinking of the multi-facetedness of Christ's Body..e.g....Shallow study of the Word can be in a sense "unpreparedness." The deeper we study the Word, the better we understand, the better we grasp our daily living and ultimately our preparedness.
1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV) And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
or
Romans 12:6-8 (KJV) Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Well, you did qualify your statement with a 'can be'. lol
