Euphemia, we as Catholics rejoice in the free gift of grace. We acknowledge it, know it, and celebrate in it every Sunday. It's the core of our faith.

It is our job as part of the Body of Christ to offer correction using the word of God.
2 Timothy 4:2 (NLT)
Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

There is a difference between godly humility and the false idea of humility that the world teaches.
Indeed. What I meant as a Christian community we do this through the celebration of the Eucharist -- the blessed sacrament. Though naturally it extends to every minute of every day.
There is no way of knowing who are Christians or not until they open their mouths, sometimes. Error needs to be rebuked.

Peace is correct. You can not see into their heart and know, only God can!
I can tell by the fact that they refuse to claim their salvation joyfully, but think it humble to say they won't know until they die. God wants us to be assured of it! How on earth does a person show Christ to the world when he has no real hope?
No he is not correct. We can see the error people believe when they speak it. We can also see fruit in lives or the lack of it. We are called to be fruit inspectors.

It IS real hope, it's simply not arrogance. Furthermore, it's simply a difference in beliefs, neither right nor wrong, just different, and you should respect that.
