What's for dinner?

  1. What's for dinner?

I just made some yellow rice and sauteed mushrooms in butter with salt, pepper, and a little hickory. :D

    So what's for dinner?
  2. I hate to say this but we had cheeseburgers and french fries. I normally don't eat a lot of fatty foods like that but I gave in to temptation today. It was sooo good.:D:D:smile_anim:

  3. What you had for dinner sounds very good. As a matter of fact, you gave me an idea for dinner tomorrow.

  4. Cool. I have lots of ideas. I was bored so I made some dinner. I like to cook and experiment.

I am looking for some recipes to cook with my grandmother's saffron. I might make some Spanish valencia paella but I need some more rice and vegetables...

If you are in need of some ideas, maybe, I might be able to help you with that. :D
  5. I had a cheeseburger and some fries from In-n-Out and was really disappointed. Your lucky! There are no more decent hamburger stops anywhere near where I live...:( :p I guess I'm going to have to make myself some gourmet burgers now, tee hee. :D

  6. I would love to have a couple of ideas if you don't mind. I love rice and know several different ways of fixing it. But my ideas are running out. Does anyone have ideas or recipes for "Shrimp fried Rice"

I made the cheeseburger myself. I refuse to go out and buy as they not very good. Not too often I make a lot of fatty foods, I normally stay healthy. Hubby loved it. He's hinting for some fried pork chops for dinner tomorrow. But he is in for a very healthy surprise.
  7. No, I don't mind! If I come up with some ideas I'll ship 'em to you free of charge. I have yet to cook shrimp with rice but I have stir fried veggies and shrimp.

P.S. - have you ever tried jasmine rice with a little salt and butter? Delicious!

Lol, swap the porkies for the healthies. :D
  8. The stir fried veggies with Shrimp sounds delicious and the jasmine rice. I never had Jasmine rice but I have seen it in the stores.

I would like the veggie and shrimp and jasmine rice recipe. I also love to cook and especially new things. I would really appreciate that.
  9. LOL,,,,,He is going to be so shocked. He knows that I don't eat pork and he shouldn't. Since I made those hamburgers which he loves food like that, he thinks he got over by asking for the pork chops. Can't wait to present this wonderful surprise. Hehehehe
  10. You should seriously buy some Jasmine rice. It has the best flavor of all the rice. It has a natural, nutty flavor and smells really good when you cook it. :D

The recipe can be dressed up because it's not that great :D. I used fake shrimp instead of real shrimp but it can go either way. I used green onions, cilantro, onions, some white mushrooms, and then you can add carrots, broccoli, celery, bok choy, whatever you like. I usually pop in the shrimp just before the vegetables are done and dress it up with some cayenne pepper or tabasco sauce. It's really what you like and such... ;)

Hee hee, that happens. Maybe you should swap some real meat for the really good subsitute meat that tastes like the real thing. He probably won't even know the difference. :D:D:D
  11. The kids had corn dogs with mashed potatoes and green beans. I just had the potatoes and green beans. :smiley10:
  12. I dont cook much but tonight I had a hankering for some spagehtti and meat balls so thats what I had tongiht and tomorrow and probably the next night tee hee.
  13. On Mondays I make homemade chicken or turkey soup from left over roasted birds and vegetables.
