  1. Alternative view.
DAN..Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place. 25"So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be
    seven weeks and sixty-two weeks.....
The Balfour Declaration was 2 nov 1917: His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people....
The British battle for Jerusalem..During almost continuous rain on 8 December 1917, Jerusalem ceased to be protected by the Ottoman Empire. Chetwode (commander of XX Corps), who had relieved Bulfin (commander of XXI Corps), launched the final advance taking the heights to the west of Jerusalem on 8 December. The Ottoman Seventh Army retreated during the evening and the city surrendered the following day
    The Battle of Megiddo
was fought between 19 and 25 September 1918,
and marked the end of 500 years of rule of Palestine by the Ottoman Empire.
[except for a short time ruled by Egypt 1831 to 1840.]
7X7 :eek:r one week of years would be 1918 plus 49 equals 1967.
the June War, 1967 Arab–Israeli War, or Third Arab–Israeli War, was fought between June 5 and 10, 1967. Following the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel extended its jurisdiction and administration over East Jerusalem.
62 weeks or 62 years later would be 2029 AD.
While the 62 may be interpreted as 62 x 7 it could also
be seen as 62 literal years.
Plus 1 week of years, the tribulation week
could be.... 2029 to 2036 AD?
  2. How can the decree be applied to some 20th century UN action when the prophecy says the decree is made almost 500 years before His 1st century death?
  3. Hey Phoneman, did you miss me?
  4. Of course! Things have been too quiet around here!
  5. I see that you have been busy!
  6. I'm very happy to discuss issues with the brethren at CFS because there is such a spirit of civility and freedom from viewpoint discrimination which is indicative of the level of confidence placed in the spiritual propositions held by our members and the willingness to subject them to the Biblical scrutiny of others. The Holy Spirit will convict us as to whether our ideas are in harmony with Scripture or if they should be abandoned as error. Our inability to discern another's heart disqualifies us as his judge and limits the scope of our activity to simply sharing ideas and praying that we all come to a knowledge of His truth.
  7. Well said!
