The Bible Does NOT Support Slavery!

OH but MM atheists don't read the Bible properly didn't you know, they only watch you tube.

So clearly they aren't getting anything useful out of it....I wouldn't worry.

The Bible didn't condone many things it described which were present in its contemporaneous societies. Slavery was among those things. The fact remains that in the different ancient societies at various times enslaved persons comprised between 20 and 40 percent of the population. Enslavement was considered a merciful way to treat combat captives and their families. Also, people in abject poverty could sell themselves or their family members to survive or pay off debts. Ancient societies had economic benefits from slavery, which is one reason those societies, like the Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English colonies in the Americas, adopted it as a normal part of the economy.

By the way..........I am for sale for the right price.

Take social security out of the equation, or even the pension then the question of slavery becomes very much a reality. In lesser developed nations the veil of no slavery is paper thin deep. You’ll do what you must do in order to survive. The other options are prison or death.
