I have been reading about the life of factory animals. and how they are treated, and how the waste is causing sickness and pollution on the planet.
and even though I have turned my diet around full swing to vegetarian, ( I don't think eating animals is a problem) but I do think factory farming is.
unless we find a way to stop polluting the earth and rivers with the waste and sickening the animals by feeding them sick animals( another case of BSE has been found on a UK farm this week) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-58602051.amp
and apparently scientists believe we could have a factory farm pandemic.
what does the bible say>?
we have dominion over the animals, yes, but not to cause them unessessary suffering.
we are to be stewards of the earth.
I don't think there are way too many mouths to feed, or even that we are running out of resources( although if you think about all the water that needs to be pumped into factory animal welfare then yes, there probably is a water shortage.
could we all be vegans and have done with it.? or go back to healthy animal husbandry and be able to amply feed the world?
