Pray over and over and God may Relent our will to His will?
(When personally asking for something)
NO, NO, NO,NO and NO.
God Does not change his will according to begging, or pleading. That is serious unbelief.
Unjust Judge
What the women do? She came in and stopped everything everyone else was doing. She was adamant and bold. She said Avenge me of mine advasaries!!!
The Judge would not for awhile and went back to his bed chamber thinking. The judge said to himself. This women weary me, and "LEAST" (If I don't do this, then this will happen) by her continually coming I better grant her what she wants.
The women came one time, the judge did not want her back.
Jesus said God's folks cry day and night........... Crying, not being bold and expecting an answer right now. Over and over crying. Jesus said God bears with this nonesense, but will help them. Will He find faith on earth though? Crying and begging is not faith, it's not pleasing to the Lord at all.
1Jn 5:14 kjva And
this is the confidence that we have in him,
that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Here is your issue. We need to know God's will "BEFORE" praying. You can't expect anything from someone if you don't know what they think about it.
Mar 11:24 kjva Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Now if you already have recieved something, you don't continue asking for it. Unbelief, and disobedience to scripture is why there is so much defeat and prayer failure today.
Eph 5:17 amp Therefore
do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but
understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.
Here is the issue. Not taking the time, consideration and care to seek God and find out His will. Just praying and hoping something takes hold.
Prayer for others
Paul said I "CEASE" not to pray for you. People's lives change, and constant things are introduced to them every day. We continue to pray for others in faith. It's something we are not personally expecting, but empowering their lives.
So, then, what of Psalm 106:15
"And He gave them their request
But sent leanness to their soul."
How many times have we experienced this in our own life... We go on and on and on and on and on to God.... He finally relents and gives it to us - and it turns out to be *Not* what we expected.....
This is why it's so important to pray always that God's will be done... Not what I want, but YOUR will be done!
More and more - I find myself asking God for clarity... If You don't want this for me, let me understand so I can stop wringing my hands, accept it, and move on....
Thanks
This worked for me when I was a baby needing Milk. It can get you in trouble, even dead. Ask Balaam, it cost him his life. I have seen lives destroyed using your method.
You know the answer the first time. Every time. If you don't have 100% peace about something, then don't go after it. Not knowing of God wants you to have something is not faith. It's doubting.
What did Paul say, He who doubts and eats is in sin.
We don't pray God's will be done. We should know that before Asking. This is why James said any lack wisdom, ask God. Wisdom is right there.
This women we know was going to marry this guy. I said no, by the Spirit of the Lord. I knew it would end up horrible. She sat at my table and said, "
I know I am suppose to leave this guy alone"
What she do? Just like Balaam, she kept asking, and asking. Finally she is hearing, "
Go marry this guy, serve God together."
Just like BAlaam. She over rode what she knew was right from the start.
It ended OK, The guy only beat her and had his hands around her neck a few times. She escaped alive and everything healed.
Time to grow up Brother. We don't want to stay children, or be natural led, allowing fleeces and events to determine if it's God's will for something or not.
