Words of Encouragement

Not my strongest suit or even one I wear often.
But I was thinking about the hymn 'Amazing Grace'. In it is a stanza that goes like...

When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun

To be a tiny bit of an encourager, in light of eternity I could with godly confidence say if we substituted 10,000,000,000 (billion) years for 10,000, the truth that 'we've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun', would be just as true.

Please add your own 'word of encouragement' as you are led.

Acts 13:15
After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue leaders sent word to them: “Brothers, if you have a word of encouragement for the people, please speak.”

Have you ever felt left out, forgotten, maybe even abandoned? Most of us have experienced some or all of these feelings at some point in life.

An old hymn beseeches:

Pass me not, O gentle Savior

Hear my humble cry

While on others Thou art calling

Do not pass me by *

We might feel alone in our struggles and abandonment, but we don’t have to struggle in isolation because our Savior knows what it’s like to feel abandoned.

The Lord tells us:

Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will also help you,
I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 (NASB)

* Hymn lyrics by Fanny Crosby (1820-1915). She was a very prolific hymnist and wrote more than 8,000 hymns and gospel songs with more than 100 million copies printed worldwide.
