Looking for verses that deal with education. Not necessarily Biblical education, but any education.
Thank you, brother.
ONE THAT EASILY , IMMEDIATELY COME TO MIND: (oops!) is Study to show yourself approved.
This may seem obvious but the bible is a big book and you do have to read it.
Also a good scientific quote -1 Thessalonians 5:21 but test them all; hold on to what is ... - Bible Hub
Yes, I have from cover to cover. 10 times. That does not mean I memorized it.
When Adam and Eve fell they lost their only avenue of gaining spiritual Wisdom from God, as their hearts died and became dark. Now they were totally at the mercy of their fleshly mind to gain information in how they were to make choices and to make decisions in how to guide their lives. Knowledge puffs up and makes us proud of our accomplishments that we have gain on our own, and we are given diplomas, and the like to prove it to ourselves and others. One major big problem with this kind of knowledge is it will pass away one day.
1 Cor 13:8 Then there is another kind of knowledge which is not gained through the five physical senses, but the spiritual senses in which God the Father speaks to us as a teacher, using His Word to confirm his teaching and in which the Holy Spirit also bears witness to the truth. This kind of knowledge is eternal and it becomes our treasure in our hearts that makes us exceeding glad every time we think or meditate upon it. It is with this spiritual (revelation knowledge) we use to renew our minds so that our mind and our hearts are always in agreement. If our heart does not condemn us then we will have confidence to ask anything of the Lord in which he gives us all things.
The unrenewed human mind can NEVER discover spiritual truth because it is the enemy of God. It is not subject to the laws of God neither can it know it, because it is spiritually understood. The physical brain and mind of man is only a tool so man can operate in this physical environment. It was never designed by God to discover spiritual truth, but only to believe what it is told to believe. The mind only believes what the heart of man tells it to believe. We can believe a lie it we tell ourself to. The heart of man can never believe a lie as our heart is Christ who can never be fooled, or deceived at any time.
In Acts, there is the School of Tyrannus. My Jewish friend goes to Schule on the Sabbath. Maybe when Jesus read from the Torah at the synagogue of Nazareth, he was at a kind of Schule.
