We booked a cruise for our honeymoon in September 2025, for eight days in the Southern Caribbean. It has stops in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.
So we set our wedding for either September 2 which is our dating honeymoon or September 5, which allows us to go right to Disney afterwards for the weekend and celebrate. It will be at the courthouse or a very small little venue. Nothing huge. Just her and I, her Maid-of-Honor, my Best Man, her mom, maybe her dad, my mom, and stepdad, and maybe a couple of other friends and my two little ones that live down here. I would love to have my kids from NY down here, but not sure how to swing that. Although, we can do something larger in the future that will include them.
My bankruptcy will be over by then and we won't have to worry about that anymore. That is what is keeping us from getting married now. The lawyer said it was not a good idea to get married while I was in the middle of it. We will have been together for 9 years when we get married.
