Time, and Times, and Half a Time

Revelation 12:14 (King James Version)

14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

I look at several versions and they all say the same thing but the Amplified Version says it means three and a half years. How does it come to this conclusion?:)

Here’s a little info on it.

And in Daniel, the same phrase is used. Sometimes it helps to look back at the Hebrew meanings as well. Dividing is the same as half.

Dan 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

The best way to find out how long the time, times, and half a times in Revelation 12:14 is, is to check out Revelation 12:6 it is speaking of the same woman and same event, and the same time frame.
Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
So we see that 1260 days lines up with the 3.5 years thought. So now that we have confirmed that time, times, and a half a time, is 1260 day or 3 1/2 years then when we see that phrase elsewhere we can be assured that it means 3 1/2 years in that those passages as well.
