Yesterday many things went wrong. Among them our 30+ year old John Deere tractor finally died. This may not seem like an overly big deal, but when you live on a farm and your tractor is finally gone, it HAS to be replaced, and this is a very expensive venture. I forced myself all day yesterday to simply pray to God for His help. He has never failed me, ever. To be sure, within less than 24 hours we happened upon a very lucky situation wherein our old tractor and its implements were accepted by a collector who had connections at the John Deere dealership and was able to get us a brand new tractor for a price that was incredibly reasonable and we could afford. It was just a lucky moment that my husband ran into this man and told him about what had happened. So, thanks to God, we have the much-needed tractor and we didn't have to take out a second mortgage on the house in order to own it. I am so grateful to the Lord that he takes such incredible care of us, and makes the seemingly impossible, possible. I cannot even count the times He has blessed us in this manner. Praise be to the Lord who cares for his children and provides them with their needs. Everytime this happens I am amazed anew at the power and compassion of God, and the fact that he should care about our little lives. Psalm 30:2 "I will exalt you Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths ...Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me." 30:3 -4 "You Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down into the pit. Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime, weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:11-12 "You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent." God answers prayers, even the impossible ones.
