The devil made me do it
Too often I hear Christians blame satan for all the bad or unpleasant stuff in their lives, much like atheists unjustly blame God.
satan isn't always to blame. Sometimes we bring the trouble on ourselves and I think it would do us good to accept the responsibility.
This forum is such a wonderful site to fellowship and discuss our Lord.... and maybe I am misunderstanding, but it seems like so many are suggesting people can't make bad decisions on their own without satan influencing them to do so.
I think we make decisions whether to sin or not all the time based on our own desires. Blaming the enemy for everything bad is like blaming your friend for talking you into drinking too much or stealing something or any other OR blaming him/her even when he/she wasn't there to ag you on!
I absolutely belive in todays society, the enemy has very little work to do as most people are very eager to engage in all kinds of immorallity without any coaxing whatsoever.
I simply find it disturbing when people blame someone else for their actions. Even if someone, whether physical or spiritual being, plants a suggestion in our mind, we have full opportunity to accept or reject the idea.
