  1. Raised Up With Christ

    Acts 1:10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

    The angels told them He would return in like manner. Wouldn’t that be a sight to see! But even more awesome is one day we too will be raised up to meet Him in the air, when mortality puts on immortality! How glorious that will be!

    1 Thessalonians 4:16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord

    We celebrated the resurrection of the Lord. God raised up Jesus in all His glory to sit at His right hand.

    Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

    He shall quicken our mortal bodies and this corruptible will put on incorruption. Not only will we be raised up physically like Jesus was, but even now He quickens our body when we call on Him for healing. It is changed and made whole by that blood that flowed from those stripes they put on his back for our healing.

    Not only was Christ raised, but WE were raised up spiritually. We already “ have” been raised up, past tense. He quickened our sprit and we are live in Him. That resurrection power is in us!

    Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

    Ephesians 1:19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above allprincipality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

    If earth is His footstool and we are the body of Christ, then we are not “under the circumstances” as some say, but the devil is under our feet. When we realize this, we can be lifted up above the circumstances, far above the power of the enemy and can walk in that victory because we are seated with Him! The power of Satan is broken and we are no longer under his dominion, for our spirit, soul, and body now belongs in Christ. We are not in his kingdom now but in the Kingdom of God and have already passed from death to life, past tense. Eternal life begins now when we receive Jesus, and continues on for eternity.

    Colossians 1:12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins

    John 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

    1 Peter 2:9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

  2. Thank you for putting this all together . Yes in Christ we are everything and more and as we worship and honour Him and remember His sacrifice for us : how much more should we love Him who died in our stead. ?

    He loved us so much ..... Loved me so much .... wow .... even knows how many hairs I have on my head .... MInd bogling . Just sit and think about it .

    During the past few days with all of our celebrations , I am reminded that our enemy does not want us to celebrate and throws all kinds of obsticles at us . But I don't have to let him and I do have the victory in Jesus . Satan is under my feet because of what Christ did for me .

    Amen . I claim that resurrection power in the name of Jesus . .

  3. Lord there are times when only YOU can raise me up! Thank you Jesus!

  6. Hey chili my pal :)

    The Lord can lifts us up. He already has raised us up, but we need to walk in it. David said to himself, why are you cast down? Sometimes we need to come aside and get in His presence and He ministers to us. In His presence is fullness of joy. Being in the glory in his presence just makes other things fade in the distance. Even when Saul was trying to kill him, David encourage himself in the Lord.

    The LORD is the lifter of our head!

    Psalm 3:3But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

    Psalm 27:6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

    Psalm 30:1I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

    Isaiah 54:14In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee

    Romans 8:37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  7. Oh my Chili .. It seems like a lot of us are being attacked . I wish we could all get together for a prayer meeting. But I have been greatly encouraged by all of GodSpeaks threads and posts . God is so good and His mercy endures forever and I know this too shall pass . I am already much better . Thank you Jesus .

  8. Hey, you two are such a blessing! :smiley90:

  9. Romans 6:4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection..

    Old things have passed away, all thing have become new. Some just don’t know it yet. We have to know something before we can walk in it. Just as we are told to preach salvation to the lost we need to preach the good news that Jesus delivers also and gives victory. How great it is to know we can walk in that new life in Christ because the Lord is always with us all through the day.

    Ephesians 2:1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

    Colossians 3:1Paul Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

    We are buried with him. We die to self, the old man is buried and now we have a new life in the Spirit. Our spirit has been regenerated, (quickened = made alive) by the Holy Spirit. We are a new person, with a new desire for the spiritual realm in God’s kingdom.

  10. Amen all things have become new because of the power of the cross and the Precious Blood spilled for us .

    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up: To more than I can be.

    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up: To more than I can be.

    There is no life - no life without its hunger;
    Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
    But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
    Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

  11. Love that song. Its encouraging to me.

  12. Things we once loved we now hate. Things we hated now we love. Most of all we want to glorify the Lord in all we do.

    1 Corinthians 6:20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

  13. And give thanks as well.

    In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you
    1 Thes 5:18

  14. Chili
    Have you ever heard this song?

    ‘’I'm trading my my sorrow
    I'm trading my shame
    I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord

    I'm trading my sickness
    I’m trading my pain
    I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord’’

    We exchange what we have for what Jesus did for us on the cross. He paid the price for our sins, so we don’t have to pay for them. Correct ? He was our substitute. But it was not only for salvation, but every part of our life.

    2 cor 8:8You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.

    Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

    Now that’s a great exchange. We give Him our sorrows, He give us His joy. We give Him our pain, He gives us His healing. We give him our habits and bondages in exchange for His freedom.

    But we have to know this, to believe it and receive it. He said my people perish for lack of knowledge. Many don’t fully understand what the resurrection did for them so they don’t understand this exchange. And we can’t walk in the power and victory He has given us if we don’t know it. It’s not the truth that sets us free, it’s the truth that we KNOW that sets us free.

    John 8:31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

  15. NOW! I'm MAD!! Mad at Satan for all the lies,

    Jesus I lay all my iniquities down at your feet. I surrender Lord to you. I need you Father. I want you. My heart yearns for you. I love you Father. I pray to you that I can show it more than I do. I am a wounded spirit Jesus and I need you real bad. I bow my head to you Jesus and ask forgiveness. I'm sorry for not trusting you Father. Please Lord let me start over. In Jesus' name I pray and give thanks. Amen

  16. We all have to get to that point sometimes and say I'm not going to allow to let him to control me anymore. I'm not going to listen to his lies. He is a father of lies and the truth is not in Him. We are fed up with his tricks, and by the grace of God we will walk in victory no matter what circumstances come against us, because of the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of God! He has paid the price and we stand up against the enemy with the whole armor of God and he has to flee.

    Whenever we repent the Lord forgives and we don't have to ever mention it again because when the Lord forgives He forgets.

  17. John 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

    Hath, not shall be. Its already done, its present now. We have already entered into this Life. Too many put off eternal life until they die. But Jesus came to give us abundant life not just eternal life and it starts now when we got saved. We don’t have to wait until we get to heaven, but can experience His wonderful Life on the way to heaven . We can be walking in the life of God each day .

  18. We know that Jesus Christ is the way the Truth and the Life and that He came that we might have abundant life as you said but it does not stop there . OUr part is to share that Life with whoever , whenever and walk in that way that is truly edifying to Him as our Lord and Master .

    1 John 5:20
    We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

  19. Freely we have recieve, freely we give.

  20. Hey, we have a song to that .
