I am applying for a job at a Christian high school as a coach. One of the questions on the application asks about whether I condone homosexuality or not. It's a yes or no answer. I think this is a loaded question. I know the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin and God is against it. However, I also believe that as Christians, we are to love everyone and are called by Christ to reach out to sinners. I have several gay friends and they know I'm a Christian. I don't want to work for a school that is in any way discriminatory toward any group, gays included. Jesus was not discriminatory…he formed relationships with all kinds of people and taught them about God and morality. Also, what would happen if a student confided in me that they had homosexual thoughts? I would want to be show care and love not condemnation. In a nutshell, what would Jesus do in this situation? I'm very confused. Thank you.
