Jim Kerr of Simple Minds sang Belfast Child as a reminder of the Enniskillen bombing in 1987. In the 80s I remember hearing about the bombing and other unrest in Ireland. We prayed for Ireland but at the time it was so confusing what was going on there between two religions. I don't know if Jim is a Believer but in the lyrics he gives a glimmer of hope for the Irish and their loved ones who perished.
I believe God hears our prayers through song and sees our hearts whether we are Believers or not. Today there is relative peace in Ireland, though controversies are still ongoing, still, there is peace.
We are His children
The fruit of His suffering
Saved and redeemed
By His blood
Called to be holy
A light to the nations
Clothed with His power
Filled with His love
Chorus
Go forth in His
Proclaiming "Jesus reigns"
Now is the time
For the church to arise
And proclaim Him
"Jesus Savior, Redeemer and Lord"
Countless the souls
That are stumbling in darkness
Why do we sleep in the light?
Jesus commands us
To go make disciples
This is our cause
This is the fight
Chorus
Jesus is Lord (3x)
Listen the wind
Of the Spirit is blowing
The end of the age is so near
Powers in the earth
And the heavens are shaking
Jesus our Lord soon shall appear
Chorus
Jesus is Lord (4x)

how am I supposed to make disciples I don’t have a clue. I feel this is a man’s job….
