Poem#82 Flame On
2nd Timothy 1:3-14, 2nd Corinthians 12
How we should be longing for those we hold most dear
That they would see the Jesus living inside so they Believe
And we should Believe they will as Faith spreads like Wildfire
Let this be a reminder to keep feeding the Flame, the gift of Jesus
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit I pray Hands laid upon you as Written
That Water baptism alone can’t give, Baptize us Jesus lay your hands
No prison can hold the Power of His Spirit, no circumstance can stand
Even as our flesh begs the differ upon the cross we lay it to be set free
The self-control needed is in Jesus alone as we surrender to His Spirit
So again begs the question how should we be helping those we Love?
Why aren’t we being the Gospel they need to see, why aren’t we feeding?
Don’t be giving them a snake when expecting a fish
The Bread Maker we Believe lives inside, the Healer we Believe Lives
The Savior we Believed & accepted we claim to be Living inside our Heart
Now let His Holy Spirit come out like the Fire He is to Light Their Flame
No amount of Suffering should cause doubt to the Word that is Jesus
Keep on Believing, Keep on Trusting His Grace is sufficient enough even
When we’re Weak He’s Strong, His Holy Spirit keeps Our Flame Lit
