Poem#52 My Mirror

Poem#52 My Mirror

Use to see people with tattoos with rings in noses & think

That’ll never be me will keep my flesh pure & clean of that

Until found myself looking in My Mirror seeing exactly that

Don’t want to be so proud losing sight of where Jesus found me

Wondering Lost without identity trying to find where we belong

Looking like a Van gogh while feeling like Fridge Art

Seeing people doing alcohol on TV doing drugs, smoking

That’ll never be me keep my mind free, lungs clear of that

Until found myself looking in My Mirror smoke coming out

We all have our habitats drug of choice called Sin in our Heart

We’re too busy judging a neighbor’s eye to see forests growing

More then logs in our own eyes in need of Spit & mud of Jesus

Commiting Sin & thinking Sin is one in the same like Lies to Murder

So when we say don’t want to be Christian like that Our Mirror shows

The Chiefs of all Sinners looking back at me Chief like Apostle Paul

Looking in My Mirror the eyes of Jesus God’s Word on the Cross

The Death should’ve been mine for thinking lies of being better

When I was given Mercy & Grace like the Murderer set free

When we get to Heaven in the House of God will see Masterpieces

The Life in ourselves we found was broken & no wear near art worthy

God’s Fridge shows what God saw as the Father My Mirror reflected

While My Mirror showed My faults wasn’t better then my Neighbor’s

My Mirror also showed how Better off I was when changing to reflect

Kneeling like a Servant no longer a Chief Sinner, but Jesus seeing Jesus
