Poem#148 Abram Saw Dust, God saw Us
Genesis 13
The Lord told Abram to look far North, East, West, South as He could
Showing the Vision of the Lord how far & wide His promises will go
Those counted that would be in this promise couldn’t be counted
If Abram could have seen as far as God He would have seen the Cross
The Length our Heavenly Father was going to go in order to save our soul
That we will be His Children even while our Faith struggles to understand
Thankfully even as we struggle with all the Old Testiment has to offer
As we’re still looking back in our past old life what we’re going to miss
The Lord God will gently turn our head to show us He’s better then that
God’s faithfulness goes past our wants for shiny things that shimmer
Waiting for us to see Him as the Creator of everything will ever need
That it is God alone that brings us the joy & happiness we seek
We can work for all the gold & silver in the world & come up short
No amount of golden calves can make up for all the sacrifices lost
As we’re missing the Forgiveness that only the Cross of Jesus gives
Be Thankful the World can have the Silver & Gold all We should want
The World can’t give, so no more looking back, will be looking forward
As we’ve come to the view in time that Abram was looking to see Jesus
The Lord Jesus the King of Kings looks at us, looks at Abram to show
Even though Abram couldn’t see the outcome of us being Saved, Jesus
Could see the cross & then saw us sitting at His Table as His Bride
