Poem#136 Covenant Of God
Genesis 9
Most People just won’t understand and they never will
With their hearts cold as dry ice and hard as anything
Because they refuse to see through God’s eyes
While mankind’s fate was locked away in a boat God looked on
Noah and the rest of mankind and the animals were safe inside
The flooded earth was drowning as God looked on as He saw us
How could mankind understand death as they never saw in spirit
Unfortunately also means mankind hasn’t fully understood life either
As Sin seperated mankind from God, so separates life from death
Even as years passed well past earth drying up and forming as today
Mankind has never fully understood the meaning of a covenant with God
As Mankind has yet to keep its promises as God remains faithful
How can we expect mankind that’s lost to remember the first rainbow
Until they see what God sees on the otherside of the Covenant in the sky
As God remembers the cost we will never imagine in a million years
If only the Church the body of Christ would remember to tell the lost
Those that took part in the Last Covenant of the bread body of Christ
Drank the wine that’s His blood in remembrance to remember to tell
The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always been around since the Beginning
We failed to understand so we failed to see until blindness left our eyes
When the Love of Jesus removed the vail as we fell down to our knees
Remember the first time seeing the Covenant of God and seeing them all
When Jesus showed us the rainbow like never before like everything new
Through Spiritual eyes able to connect the Covenants like stars to God
Now go out into all the World telling the good news of Jesus Christ
Showing the Gospel in a new Light that’s been shining since Alpha
As we Love on People allowing God to remove the vail to See Him
