Poem#118 God’s

Genesis 7, Romans

While God was giving the tablets to moses His people were sinning

At the bottom of the Mountain in a golden calf, man creates false idols

The Impatience of mankind to lack of understanding is nothing new

So why would we expect God’s people to remember God’s Rainbow

God’s Promise the sign after the flood God’s First covenant with Man

Certainly wasn’t to celebrate anyone’s equal right to sin another idol

If only we’d understood where God was coming from after the flood

After washing away all that turned evil after they decided He the Creator

Wasn’t enough they rather have false idols then turn back to God

God’s Rainbow, God’s promises remains faithful then what we deserve

Son of God in Jesus came despite Good of some, Evil of other branches

The fulfilling of God’s Family Tree to save Mankind from our Sins

Even while Mankind still takes what’s God’s and makes false idols

Even the crucifix that Jesus died on became of gold around necks

Thanks be to God that forgives the ignorance of mankind

If only we’d understood the pruning shears God holds in his hands

Cutting away at the branches refusing to take root in His Sacrifice

Refusing His Repentance, God’s cutting away at false Believers

God’s glory is God’s alone and all of God’s Children will know Him

Because we’ve been awakened We’re made in God’s new Creation

Always remember how God first Loved us because we’re God’s
