Poem#104 Waiting For Redemption

Poem#104 Waiting For Redemption

Genesis 4

If we would have looked back through the flaming swords

Held by Angels keeping us from the Tree of Life & eternity

We didn’t understand death, we couldn’t understand this

Everyone knows by now the serpent & the garden of eden

How the forbidden fruit was eaten by Eve & then by Adam

The downfall that changed everything from life to death

God knows about the ways & thoughts we don’t even imagine

Thoughts like Job wasn’t the first one satan asked for permission

After falling from heaven God knew of satan’s revenge

While God was walking in the cool of the day looking for us

What were we doing? Hiding from the one who made us to love

We didn’t even think about coming clean to be forgiven

God knew the tree of good & evil would be found would be eaten

The plan for His Heel to bruise satan’s head was in motion to save

What satan planned for evil, God was allowing for His good for us

If only we could have seen past God kicking us out of eden

The flaming swords was placed out of love to reunite our Spirit

We didn’t have the thought process to change the way we think

God knew He was the only one to Handle being Separated generations

Just like God’s the only one to become the Son of God for nails on a cross

If anyone can handle silence between the waiting for redemption it’s God

Cast upon the pages of history mankind has written in blood what should have been in love,
'Pon the gravestones of those who have gone before us lay the long forgotten remarks of once loved sons and daughters, results of the Fall, their remains buried deep in the same soil that Adam wore when created.
Some died of war, some from sickness, some from broken lives, some from evils intent, all from Adam's fall.
The call of Eden still echoes down the hallways of time, what could have been, what should have been, now gone and yet,
What was caused by Adam can be undone in the blood of Christ, all the pain and suffering erased in His sacrifice, His gift of love to His children, His all for all of us, He carried it all to the Cross at Calvary.
History rewritten on the palms of His bloodsoaked hands, the nail marks His epitaph written for you, for me, written in His own blood.

Tsavah2

Hello Walker and Tsavah2;

Just a side thought to Walker's Poem#104 Waiting For Redemption and Tsavah2's post;

I am always careful not to say
our ways in the Old and New Testament are not the same as these times.

Governments, customs, traditions have changed, yes, but the ways of people like you and I, whether we follow and are obedient to God, or have gone sideways in our sin
haven't changed.

This poem and post are indicative of that and apply then and now. We have to set our sights on Him daily, we need Him daily, because the moment we don't, we attempt to redeem ourselves and cannot. Only God can set our redemption.

Ephesians 1:6-7, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
- NIV

God bless you, brothers and thank you for sharing.

Since the start of the Bible study in the book of Genesis, I’ve been asking the Holy Spirit on God’s point of view, trying to feel God’s stories since coming out of the book of Revelation which was the last book study, and so focusing on continued story of Jesus Christ from the beginning. I’m looking forward to what the Holy Spirit reveals.
