Poem#102 Because He’s Holy

Genesis 2



After making Mankind’s Likeness in the One & the same God in Spirit

After looking at Our Spirit God called us very good & on the next day

The Lord of the Sabbath rested on the Seventh day



Fully knowing the Spirit of us even before taking dust for our body

Even before making the Temple’s which will be His Spirit’s Home

God showed us the importance of Rest because He’s Holy



God could have formed our bodies out of dust before resting

Instead He showed the Holiness to Our Spirit of resting one day

Before giving Our Spirit dwelling , Breathing life into our Flesh



After getting one day of rest, God did form our bodies out of dust

After forming the garden which the tree of good & evil would dwell

Fully knowing even though He said no, our flesh would disobey Him



God made Adam & as a Father showing His Son all that He Made

Looking at His Son said all this I’ve made for you to love & name

God knew we’d needed to know what Love felt like so made Eve



Even knowing the outcome of the next chapter for the Love of God

Because He’s Holy & God is Love, the Love of how God felt is Worth

The Pain of watching His Children reject over & over until the Cross



Nobody knows the anguish of God the Father watching Sin kill Us

The Silence of waiting until We called Him if only we’d understand

The Love He has for us Because He’s Holy counted the days of rest



Until the day the Lord of the Sabbath would be the Passover Lamb

When the Plan to redeem us would be finished & on the Seventh Day

We’d Risen with Jesus We’d be made New & Holy because He’s Holy

My constant cry from my heart is " Come Lord come" to some this may seem premature to me it is responsive to the pain I see around me and lives within my heart,
The suffering and tears I see every night cast upon our TV screens, seems unending, why I ask is it so,
I know that the Fall is the answer but why haven't we learnt to love our brothers and sisters yet, What is gained when pain is rampant and tears continue to fall,
Why can't we see there is another answer, another way to live and let live, give rather than take, when will we wake up to the truth it is not God's fault but ours, we
Must fall to our knees before we can rise to the heights above, we must submit to His will before we can rise on wings of Eagles and soar to the heaven that is built on love,
God's Love must replace hate, respect rather than dissent, an open hand rather than a angry fist's intent,
If we call ourselves sons and daughters of the King we must sing from the same Psalter, be united in our praise and spend all our days seeking to bring peace and healing to a world wounded by sin, only possible through God's grace.
We must walk in the ways of the Lord,
Seek out the lost and marginalized, be a helping hand that heals rather than a threat that steals hope and delivers pain.
