As Christians, we know from the descriptions in the Book of Luke 1, that Mary's cousin, Elisabeth, was 6 months pregnant with little "John the Baptist" when Mary became pregnant by The Holy Spirit. Mary immediately went to see her cousin Elisabeth in a nearby village to give her the good news, just after she became pregnant with baby Christ and to quote scripture in Luke 1:39-41 read in part (KJV):
39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; 40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb;
This meeting took place a very short time after Mary conceived and is our verification that "life begins at conception". However, those who are proponents of abortion have a much different view on humanity and while I will not mention the 'political' mindset of these persons, I will say that only God can decide the future of the unborn... not a group of political activists.
