A BLESSED EASTER TO ALL AS WE REFLECT ON GOD'S GREAT LOVE FOR US IN SENDING JESUS HIS ONLY SON

    Zechariah 9:9

    The Coming of Zion's King

9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion!
    Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
    righteous and having salvation,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

    John 12:12-19

    The Triumphal Entry

12The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
    "Hosanna![a]
    "
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"[b]

"Blessed is the King of Israel!" 14Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written,
    15
    "Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion;
    see, your king is coming,
    seated on a donkey's colt."[c]

16At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him.
17Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18Many people, because they had heard that he had given this miraculous sign, went out to meet him. 19So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!"
    Footnotes:
    1. John 12:13 A Hebrew expression meaning "Save!" which became an exclamation of praise
    2. John 12:13 Psalm 118:25, 26
    3. John 12:15 Zech. 9:9
At first Jesus disciples did not know or understand all that was happening. It was only after Jesus was resurrected did they understand.
Today we have the knowledge and understanding about what Jesus did for us .
We have heard and know, therefore we are responsible to tell others about this great love that was given to us by God.
Let us worship and adore our soon coming King…. He will not be riding on a donkey but will come triumphant in all His spendour and Glory. Praise His name.!!!

God bless you all..... Love, Barbara
