Now here’s the thing

Jesus died for you on the cross,
Salvation
Not on your terms
no negotiations
That’s not how that works!

Now here’s the thing,
Just because he’s got God on his side
Has he got it all right?
The preacher says,
You don’t have to do anything… except
just believe…
But the bible says
Not everybody who cries out Lord, Lord will get to heaven

I’m confused?

Do nothing till your hooked,
Then comes the terms and conditions…
Doubting if I’m forgiven, or even want salvation …

Now here’s the thing,,
Scratching that two thousand year old itch that won’t go away
A man who lived then,
Still relevant today?
So complicated this Salvation
Where do I turn?

As if that’s going to
happen…
Just because I haven’t seen the nail marks in his hands
The sword pierced side,
Doesn’t mean… it didn’t happen
That’s not how it works,
I need a revelation

Not wait til I’m in heaven
And see Him face to face,
I need to kick start my faith
Start a revolution
I don’t need any more

Just need to really know,
Know who You are

All you can do is accept whatever happens and resist the temptation to grow bitter.
