Prophecy and predictions are not even nearly the same thing.
In particular, predictions concerning prophecies are relative to the predictor, while true prophecy only answers to God.
It’s notable that, where Revelation is concerned, people historically want a “You are Here” reference for the particular time period they are living in. Perhaps it is human nature to have a desire to live in “interesting times” and not miss out on the action.
