List in order of importance
Did God have a focus group
Brainstorm ideas?
Put suggestions out for consultation
As to which commandments
should be included in the Final cut?
Did the angels get a vote?
To decide which order They were laid down
Were they listed in order of importance?
Was it difficult to limit to just ten?
Were there commandments that missed the cut?
would they have made a difference
if they were included as well?
Are they listed in order of importance?
Should I concentrate on the first few first?
Should I avoid controversial commandments
And those commandments that will offend?
Then, just when I was getting my head around it I read,
Jesus went and gave another commandment, see John 13:34*
Should the commandments be updated
For this day and age?
In light of twenty first century
thinking?
In light of this modern age?
Or is it my guilty conscience
Wanting to keep one foot in the world?
Am I Trying to sidestep,
The Ten Commandments?
God’s instructions
written in stone?
