IN Christ

Discussion in 'Doctrinal Discussions' started by geralduk, Dec 19, 2015.

  1. Ephesians 1 and onward .
Blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN Christ.
Chosen us from before the foundations of the World in Christ.
Predestined us unto the adoption of children, by Jesus Christ unto himself .
made us accepted in the beloved .
In whom we have redemption through his blood
    The forgiveness of sins .
abounded towards us in all wisdom and prudence.
gathered together in one all things
    Obtained and inheritance.
Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
    Great power towards us .....
    Created in Christ.
made nigh by the blood of Christ.

    In Christ
  2. The Will of The Father:
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will,

To the praise of the glory of His grace,
wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.'

    The Work of The Son:
    In Whom
we have redemption through His blood,
    the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;
    Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Having made known unto us the mystery of His will,
according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself:

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times
He might gather together in one all things in Christ,
both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him:

In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance,
being predestinated according to the purpose of Him
Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will:'

    The Witness of The Spirit:
That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ.
In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:
in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,

unto the praise of His glory.'

    Praise God!

  3. In Christ Jesus (Cont ...)

'Being justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:'

    (Rom 3:24)

'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.'

    (Rom 8:1)

'For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law of sin and death.'

    (Rom 8:2)

'For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,
    Nor height, nor depth,
    nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.'

    (Rom 8:38,39)

'But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus,
Who of God is made unto us
wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:'

    (1Cor 1:30)

'But God, Who is rich in mercy,
for His great love wherewith He loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins,
hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And Hath raised us up together,
and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come He might shew
the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

    (Eph 2:4-7)

    For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them
    (Eph 2:10)

'But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off
are made nigh by the blood of Christ.'
According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:'

    (Eph 2:10-13)

    'In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
    concerning you.'

    (1Thess 5:18)

'Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,'

    (2Ti 1:1)

'Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling,
    not according to our works,
but according to His own purpose and grace,
which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,'

    (2Ti 1:9)

All praise to the glory of His grace!
