Ban the Bible

Discussion in 'Fellowship Time' started by THALLON, Dec 6, 2014.

The article is about a knee jerk response to banning a video game.
This is like why Christianity may come under persecution in the future,
by an indirect ban on all religious activity but not a direct ban,
or incremental bans that in the end amount to a censorship of Christian activity.
Nevertheless I think Christianity will be banned and persecuted in the USA
by 2025 or will be divided between a hypocritical church that bows the knee to satan
and a real Spirit led Church forced to go underground.
  2. I doubt very much that the world as we know it today will survive until 2025.
2017 is going to be a year of living dangerously, let alone the far future.
  3. The Bible has been banned in many places. People have been killed for their faith - we must all pray that our Lord solves these issues and keep faith. Remember Satan is working all the time to deceive us - its for us to stay strong in faith.

  4. I have been banned from another christian forum for daring to encourage people to read the Bible. They felt insulted that I told them to read the Holy Bible and rather read cut up versions of it instead, and also they shut down my thread on fake bibles. I tried to warn them, but they wouldnt listen.

    My spirit is grieved.
They said I was hostile and argumentative. I was not, I was contending for the faith once delivered to the saints.

When I worked in public library they would rather exposed ppl to 50 shades of gray the porn novel than the Holy Bible, and stopped me from reading it or promoting it, I had to hold bible reading outside of work, I wasnt even allowed to have a sign on the noticeboard advertising it.
  5. They wanted to read other peoples paraphrases of it and went after so called new revelations outside the Bible. They ignored the Bible itself and cut and pasted corrupted versions of it to suit their arguments, ignoring many other verses. This is what Satan does, twist scripture or leave out and omit words and add to them.

  6. This other forum. I was invited to but soon found they had another agenda.
  7. Proverbs 29:2 (KJV)
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

  8. I joined another "Christian" forum a couple years ago, and what I found was that every body there were very highly educated people, even those who ran this forum. I would ask questions and give scripture to back up every thing I said, all I received back were negative feedback. The people on this forum would not give any scripture to disprove any thing I said. I keep thinking, wow that is weird, I thought this a was Christian forum. Then a lady who lived in South Africa came to this forum and was looking for help. She posted a question asking, "I have a problem and I don't know if it is wrong" She said, "I keep going online and watching pornographic videos while pleasing my self" is that a sin? Not one person on this forum would tell her she was sinning in what she was doing!!! They said, "your not sinning, you just need counselling". I could not believe what I was reading. My heart was so grieved for this person. I never thought that I could cry so much, and feel so much pain in my heart. I wrote a private message to this person, and told her leave this place as quickly as you can. Later the Lord gave me message to give to the management of this website, and then left rather quickly. I wonder how many other forums disguise themselves as a Christian forum, and instead of helping those in need, they drag them down deeper into darkness?

  9. I dare say there are plenty of corrupt forums out there.
I speak on behalf of the entire staff when I say, "we strive to be the best, friendliest and 'Christian', Christian forum site on the web".
All we can do is pray brother for people to be guided to a better forum and away from those terrible people.

  10. @Lanolin
Well I am a moderator at the forum she is talking about and can tell you that there is no alternate teaching or anything else for that matter. Lanolin is disgruntle about certain things because she didn't agree with how the forum was ran. I can tell you that the forum is not doing what she says and that for her to come here and smear that other forum is in bad character. This is all I will say about it and recommend Lanolin that you pray and really think about what you are doing here talking down about brothers and sisters in Christ.
  11. Was the thread @Lanolin is talking about a KJVO thread? Those are the most likely people to describe other versions as "cut up".
  12. No title of thread was "Fake Bibles". We already had a thread about different translations and encouraged her to participate in that thread. I really don't want to get into the politics of the other forum but all I can say is she isn't being very forthright on what she is claiming here.
  13. No this was another forum.
People really hate the KJV for no reason. Non christians hate it especially. I dont know why.
I wasnt even referring to the KJV especially.
  14. Cut up I mean ppl wrongly divide the Word. Whatver version you use you shouldnt leave verses out or add extra words. Paraphrased versions of the bible tend to do this. There should be no footnotes to Gods word. He never adds ps. At end of revelation its not true or, another version says this. Or we found some other manuscript that says this.
  15. I was born in the early 1950's, and I remember that in my teen years (later 1960's and early 1970's) there were lots of discussions on how the world is coming to an end. In both Christian views, which was looking for the rapture, and non Christian views that looked toward many suggested calamities.

We are still here and I am continually saddened by the ways our society finds new ways to express non Godly views and behaviors.

Christ said "Behold I am coming quickly" 2000 years ago. It is as true now as it was then. The Lord waits and allows more time to accept Him.

We should prepare for the long haul, but be at all times ready for His return.

  16. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21: 34-36
because just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
In those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage right up to the day when Noah went into the ark. They were unaware of what was happening until the flood came and swept all of them away. That's how it will be when the Son of Man comes. Matthew 24: 37-39
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1Thessalonians 5: 1-6
  17. A lot of Christians use study bibles. It isn't adding to the bible.
