(As with other psalms starts with ‘poor old me,’ then pleading with God, then ends acknowledging how great God is!)

Let us in on the secret?

So, what exactly are the plans
you have made for me?
After all
You Saved me
Forgave me
Gave me a new life…
Started off post Salvation
With energy,enthusiasm,
Excitement, direction
Really got stuck in…

But that vision,
got a bit tarnished
thread bare
Faded
lost its first lustre, over time,
Now it’s just hard work.
An uninspiring grind…

Go on, go on, go on
let us into the secret
Bring back that excitement
That has eroded over time
What does the future hold?
‘Cos all I see is confusion
lost in the mist of the past
Has the vision been busied out
On the treadmill of life?

Stop looking back
Naval gazing
only seeing the past
Look up,
Look into the eyes of Jesus
With open hands
Receive
from Gods storehouse
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
