Am I theologically sound? (a bit tongue in cheek?)

Am I theologically sound?
So,
I believe in the Bible
That Jesus, is the Son of God.
That He’s my personal Saviour
He saved me from sin and hell
I think I’ve got it right so far?
But,
Why do women have to cover their hair?

Am I theologically sound?

Hem lines have gone up and down, so what’s the theological length?
ladies wearing trousers unforgivable
Make up, the paint of the devil?

Am I theologically sound?

Clean shaven, short hair means you’re saintly,
Rock music a sin…
21 inch Flared trousers
Sandals? flip-flops? sneakers?
coming to worshipping in blue jeans

Am I theologically sound?

No telly on the Sabbath
Three services on Sunday
a must!
otherwise you’ll be backsliding
Show me where, in the Bible
Give me chapter and verse

Is it a sin not to drink fair trade coffee,
Not to standing up to sing,
Not buying goats for Africa

Am I theologically sound?

Looking up the Bible
On my phone app,
Moved on from slate and soapstone pencil,
trying to keep up,
No, not playing Tetris
Making notes and references on the sermon

Am I theologically sound?

Popped to the shop on Sunday didn’t even give it a second thought
Drove my car
Bought petrol
Went to the beach for barbecue

Am I theologically sound?

Can I hear echoes of the Pharisees all over again
Forgetting the beam in their own eye
Dictating their own pious way?

How does this all fit in with
The bible, Matthew 23:28
Trying to work out my Salvation with fear and trembling,

Is this not theologically sound?
