this is my communion message for this sunday.....
2At dawn, Jesus was again in the temple courts, where all the people
gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 then The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group
4and THEY said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman…. was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”
6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
7When THEY kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first,
until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said,
JESUS SAYS : “Then neither do I condemn you, “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
In Revelations it says: Satan, is the deceiver of the whole world. and… he accuses the bretheren, dayandnightbeforeourGod.
He accuses YOU day and night before God.
The FACT of your SIN is true, but dealing with it is something else. You don’t deal with sin by being in bondage to guilt, anger, frustration, self- abuse or even exposure
Some sins you have to go to jail for, we don’t cover those up in the church be they child molesting, stealing, or assaults, but even a jail term will not change their hearts,
but for MOST of us sins will be a daily battle in which you may pay little penalty.
So for these GENERAL SINS, accusations areNOT convictions WITH THE CORRECT EXPOSURE. Exposure to the heart to lead to repentance.
You OR ANOTHER can play Satan, the accuser
h look at that, did you see them do that, did you know that so and so……its gossip.
Jesus does NOT judge you in that way, he does not condemn you, he does not accuse you, He exposes your Sin to yourself and not to the world, nor in the delight of judgement
or criticism of you but simply as a fact of something you need to deal withas an agreement to your well- being AND He wants to help you to overcome it to be HOLY.
And that can happen many times in the process of you maturing and deciding that sin is sin and something to be avoided as we seek to be HOLY. Because some things we can give up right away but somethings we have to separate ourselves from, clean out our closet
and change our…. mindset ….about. ITS HARD. Nobody else can change your mind, only you.
If you sin on Monday at 10 oclock, you deal with it at 10.01 on Monday not by taking communion of bread and wine NEXT SUNDAY. Confess it then and there and surrender it to the Holy Spirit to help you to overcome. THEN MOVE ON without an anchor of Guilt.
If you have to do that a thousand times then do it every time but don’t allow sin to put down roots. Your FREE in Christ.
The Battle is not yours alone, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THERE WITH YOU. He is your helper
People talk about you all the time,Don’t allow ACCUSERS to drag you down till Sunday rolls around, You are not a slave to sin…. nor a slave to the WORDS of THEIR wagging tongues.
Isaiah 54: 17 "No weapon that is formed against you will prosper;
And every tongue that accuses you…. in judgment you will condemn.
Thisis the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,
And their vindication…. is from Me," declaresthe LORD.
