10 Virgins

1 Corinthians 6:2
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?
Reading this verse it seems clear that the saints shall be sitting in the judgement seat and not being the ones being judged.
If the saint do not at that time require judgement then the verdict must have already been past. The only option is that the judgement process is happening on this side.
To skip ahead. The ten virgins, five where accepted and five where rejected. So the five that where accepted received entrance to the feast and the remaining five have to be judged.
There is a lot that is being implied here so if there is an interest....

There are several lessons in the story of the 10 virgins.

One is a reminder to be prepared for the unexpected second coming of Christ, when we will face eternal judgment. The wise are prepared and ready for Christ’s return. The foolish don’t prepare themselves for the final judgment and will find themselves shut out of God’s Kingdom.

Another is that looks are deceiving! Hypocrites profess their love of God and show many outward signs of being faithful to Christ, but the truth is only found within. We might try to fool one another or even ourselves into thinking we’re living for Christ, but God is never fooled. He sees if we have a bitter or hollow heart. He knows if our words and actions are for show.

Another is that there are people who deny a final judgment, the presence of hell, or the irrevocable nature of hell. But God makes all these things very clear numerous times in the Bible.

One example is in Matthew 25:46: Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

Hello Major
Trust you have everything straightened out after the power ordeal and all that goes with it. It's a real wakeup call on how dependant we are on services. Up here in the winter we can see -40 and if the power goes out for any length of time a person better be prepared.
In regard to the five wise virgins how do you see them going through the judgement and sitting in the judgement seat at the same time?

Judgements of the saints is not based on their sin as Jesus took that away on the cross, but is a judgement of what you did with the saving knowledge. It is where our works for God are tried and our reward is given.

Hello Dave and thank you for your thoughts.
You said judgement of what she (bride) did with the saving knowledge. Sounds like a mute point to me because 'what she did?' - she accepted it... salvation is complete, nothing pending, no merits points to be had. The works she might do are 'because of who she is not trying to become'. You also mentioned rewards, the bride she has it all - nothing to be added. Rewards are tied to a judgement process, that is where 'things are weighed' but again the bride is not judged, she has been judged now and accepted and 'sealed unto the day of her redemption'.
Much needs to be said here but does it have value?
God bless

Yes sir. Thanks for asking. All the debris has been picked up at last. Water is still very high. We live 2 miles from St. Johns river and it is about 3 feet over its banks.

Now, Christ will be coming for a Bride that is without spot, blameless, and without wrinkle. Jesus, as the Bible teaches, comes three times. First, to redeem His Bride at the Cross of Calvary.
Second, to claim His Bride in the rapture.
Third, to reign with His Bride in the millennium.

The church, His bride, ought to be prepared with holiness and zeal right now in order for her to be counted worthy of the great “Marriage Supper of the Lamb in heaven.”

The parable of the ten virgins of Matthew 25 talks about the two categories of Christian believers in the church-body today.
One that’s dilatory and lukewarm, (as evident in her having a lamp that’s gone out of oil), and one that’s on fire for God, having her lamp constantly burning.

Those virgins with “oil” in their lamps were able to make it to the rapture. While those virgins without the ‘oil” were left behind in the Tribulation Period, wailing, weeping and gnashing their teeth being LUKEWARM.

Now in Rev. 3, Jesus is speaking to "CHURCHS" and says to the Laodicean church...........

“I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (verse 16).
