Step out in FAITH

1.What temptation or sin do we get ourselves into and feel as though we cannot get out of? But, Jesus said,

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." John 8:34

Sin is a hard boss to work for. Long hours, broken hearts, worried minds, and a multitude of bitter memories are the products of the devil. "The wages of sin is death." Be no longer the servant of sin when there is complete release in Christ.

2. How is it that the devil can attack our minds but we can't get him out.

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6:11

A Christian must fortify himself with the Word of God, exercise his faith, and walk in the Spirit. All of this is made easy with the one simple act of allowing Jesus His rightful place in our lives. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

3. How is it that so many of God children are in a bondage of depression.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." I Peter 5:8

He is out there to devour your time, talents, your home, heart and eternal soul. The only language he understands is our true commitment to Jesus Christ. Today, make that commitment and walk on in confidence. "Lo, I am with you [always]."

4. Why is it that suicidal thoughts are present in our thought life today.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

Sin pays off...in bitter memories, heartache, shame, lost lives and souls. Christ is the way back and up. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me."

There are so many promises of God for us. But, we have to claim them by faith. The moment you are attacked by the devil, God is right there immediately with a way out. But we must believe that He will do what He says He will do. Step out in faith and claim God's promises of deliverance. The minute the devil has your attention, he wastes no time keeping you in bondage. He will say all types of things to you like,
  • "Where is God when you need Him,"
  • "God looks out for His children, I've been trying to tell you that you are not His"
  • "You keep doing the same thing over and over, God has ran out of patience with you"
  • "God did this to you"
The devil will say all types of things to get you to get your focus off of God and on your situation. But picture this: The Holy Spirit is right there with you saying:

  • That is not true, God loves you with an everlasting Love
  • You must claim the words of God. That is the only language that makes the devil flee (God's words)
  • Don't listen to Him, concentrate on God and all that He has done for you.
  • Have faith
  • I am with you and I will never leave you.
  • Haven't God gotten you out of worse things? Trust Him to bring you through this.
  • Listen to Me, Your Father in Heaven
  • Be still and know that I am God
The Holy Spirit soft voice is right there speaking to your heart. But sometimes we don't listen. We choose to listen to the devil and look at our circumstances. The more we listen to the devil the further in bondage we will end up in. But, can God get us out of that deep hole? ABSOLUTELY!!! We can never get so deep that God cannot reach us. He is always there. We need to have a relationship with him that we are able to sense His presence and know that He is working whatever it is out. We must trust Him with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul and with all our might. Trust and believe and it will come to pass.

A) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7

Speak up to the devil in the name of Jesus. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." Jesus said, "I am with you [always]."

B) Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west." Isaiah 43:5

To know that He is with us! Isn't that great? The further word is, "If God be for us, who can be against us." Praise God! We win!

C)Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him." St. Matthew 4:10,11

There is a liberation of our spirit that comes only from looking up to the Lord and speaking up to the devil. "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." We overcome by the "word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb." Thank you, Lord, for the power of Your blood and the might of Your Word! Amen.

D) "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and be will flee from you." James 4:7

With the resistance will come the release. The power of Jesus breaks the bondage of sin. "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation."
