Named Storm: Barry

The low pressure area in the central Gulf of Mexico picked up some strength and convection earlier today. It went from a low pressure area to a Tropical Depression to Tropical Storm Barry within 7 hours.

Persons from the Florida Leys and Key West all along the Florida Gulf Coast to 85 miles north northwest of Cedar Key, Florida, can expect high winds gusting to over 60 MPH, heavy persistant rains, the possibility of sporadic tornadoes, high surf, some beach errosion and localized coastal flooding over the next 36 to 72 hours. Persons in inland Florida can expect heavy rains, strong winds and some localized flooding.

This storm will assist in lessening the severe drought conditions in parts of Florida and southern Georgia as the storm moves up through Georgia and into the Carolinas early next week. It may assist firefighters in better controlling several dozen wildfires in both states.
This storm will MOST LIKELY not strengthen to Hurricane force, but it will be a significant rain maker over a wide area of the southeast over the next 3 to 6 days.

in fact look back at all storms etc and look for words with ca in them.just humour me .
