You Are The Healed: Reason 02

Discussion in 'Bible Study' started by MichaelH, Feb 17, 2014.

  1. You are the Temple of God

Lev 3:6 And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

Anything brought into the temple was to be free of all sickness, disease and without blemish. These things were not acceptable to the Lord.

Believers often say that we are born again, our spirits are made new but our bodies are not redeemed yet. They accept sickness and disease because bodies just get sick and we don't get healed until we get to heaven.

I hate to break it to them, but there is no healing going on in Heaven because nobody is going to show up sick. There would have to be sickness in Heaven for someone to be healed of it.

Now what about hereditary diseases? I hear believers talk about how they might have diabetes or they talk about how everyone in their family died of Cancer so they might get cancer.

As believers we are told to walk by faith, not by sight. We need to look at what the Word says, and no longer be part of what the World wants for us.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
    (Rom 12:1-2)

Scripture tells us that we are now that sacrifice, a living sacrifice. God did not accept animals with sickness and disease so there would be no reason God would be happy with us presenting our bodies to him full of sickness and disease. In fact we are the ones to present our bodies to the Lord free of defects which is our reasonable service.

Well, you might say it's not my fault I have disease or I am sick. People just get sick Mike, and that is just how it is.

I understand that, but what did Paul say? He said present your body as a sacrifice, Holy and acceptable. He said YOUR BODY!!! Not your personality, not your new born again spirit, but your flesh body that you have to wash from time to time because it gets stinky. That body! And that body full of sickness was not acceptable in the Old Testament and it's not acceptable now.

Well, I don't sin, and I obey God. That is fine, that is fruit of the spirit but that has nothing to do with your flesh. Your flesh just houses your spirit. It's just a body to move around in, the nature of man is inside the body. It's the Body we are to present to the Lord without spot or blemish.

Well, you might say how is that possible, we just get sick and sometimes we get disease. Paul told us, he went on to say. Be not conformed to this World, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

The Word will tell you that you have to have heart disease because it's in your family. They will tell you that some things are just not curable. The World wants us to accept what they have to accept because they are without hope and without God in the World.

My body is not redeemed yet!!! We have to have sickness right?

No, No and 100 times NO.

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
    (1Co 6:15)

Your body belongs to a club called the Members of Christ. That is the best club to be in as you are now part of the Lord's body.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
    (1Co 6:19-20)

bought is also the same word as Redeemed, redeemed just means to purchase. Your body and spirit were both purchased with a price. Your body is redeemed and it's your reasonable service to keep it free from sinning and full of sickness.

God would not have a sacrifice full of sickness, or a sacrifice that is mentally ill. All that belongs to the world and we are not suppose to be conformed to any sickness or things that come on this world.

    What to do:
If God wants a body not full of spot or blemish, then God would have had to make a way for us to present our bodies clean and sickness free. We don't want weakness and disease in our bodies anymore than we should want to join our bodies with a harlot and mistreat our bodies with drugs. Our body belongs to God!!!

2Ch 16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

Now don't misread what I just said. Some will, but that is their issue. Have ears to hear, and get faith to be healed. King Asa had disease in his feet. Now being sick, having a disease happens. We do live in a cursed world and we have bodies that can be acceptable to getting sick.

The Lord is not bent out of shape because we got sick or hurt. What did the Lord mention about King Asa? It was not that His feet were diseased, that is not what the Lord mentioned as the issue. The issue was that King Asa never went to the Lord about his feet, but trusted in his own doctors.

Believers do that today, they believe the doctor report more than the Word. In fact believers can list every single thing about their Bi-Polar disorder and can only give 1 scripture that might help them. That is sad, They are more Bi-Polar minded than they are Word minded.

We need to be transformed with the renewing of our mind. When sickness comes we just don't accept it and we can go to God and show him that in order to obey scripture we need to stay healed. We are to present our bodies as Good stewards free of sickness to the Lord. Paul said it was our reasonable service and if it's that reasonable then Healing must be on the way or God is unjust.

When hurt comes, when sickness comes we have to tell the devil it's not acceptable for our bodies to be hurt. We are living sacrifices to God and the devil has no right to touch what is Gods.

I have used this revelation more than once to get healed. I used these same scriptures when I laid my hands on a girl that needed serious stomach surgery and told the devil to get his hands off God's property, her body belongs to God. She was healed instantly right on the spot, no surgery.

Once we get a good solid root in the fact that we are the Healed and can be healed, the devil will have a hard time to convince us otherwise.

    Blessings.

  2. Lev 3:6 has nothing to do with physical healing. The priest though one of the people stood before God as their :Spiritual" Leader. His SIN is seen as defiling all of the people. His offering must be a young bullock because though his SIN may be the same as the other people, he is more responsible for it by virtue of his position.

    1Corth 6:15
I believe that if you study this carefully, the context here is all about "fornication" and carnality along with homosexuality not the healing of the body. (vs. 9-12 & 18)

It is because fornication is a wicked and malicious sin. It takes what belongs to Christ and makes them the members of a harlot.

    1 Corth. 6:19-20
Again, when we read the 18th verse, sexual immorality is the focus Paul is talking about, not physical healing.

    Rom. 12:1-2
Paul is speaking especially about the mercies he brought up in 8:35-39. There he is talking about the principles of grace, and the salvation that brought Jew and Gentile together. Since the very reason for our existence is God, all things consist because of God.

    2 Ch. 16:12
It seems to me that the writer of Chronicles was amazed that Asa was so hardened against God that he did not go to the Lord even when sick.

Mike, If you want to use those verses to support a healing ministry, no problem with me whatsoever. I just wanted you see and consider the context of why they exist. Bible verse can mean different things to different people that is for sure.

  3. I understand the context of the verses Major.

As you know, I hate to see people suffer, see my brothers and Sisters watch their children get sick and die. It don't have to be that way, is the real message I am giving.

My own son was suppose to be dead, but I never doubted, never wavered. I did break down on the last day in tears because standing for 8 days with this rapid growing cancer I was told my son would not live through the night at best be dead by morning.

I heard something that day Major. Not God, but almost like a voice. It said, "What are you going to do now faith boy?" God don't talk like that. It went on to say I have rammed a false faith message down everyone throat, put God in a box and God is going to show me by taking my son."

It was so real and clear, it was below the belt because I just got off the phone with my wife who was with my son in Chicago Memorial Hospital for children.

We can have fear rush over us, goose bumps on goose bumps but we still can choose to say what we believe.

I said......... It's not my Word devil, With long life God will satisfy my son and if you don't like it, talk to Jesus about it.

See that? I refused to speak against the Word and if can take a stand and speak the Word only no matter how bad they tell me it is, so can anyone else. I am not special, and God does not favor me or my son over anyone else.

    However, it's not on God.................

We are suppose to resist someone steadfast in faith because He is looking to devour people.

    Mr. Devil.

What happens if we have fear and don't stand fast in faith? That is my question to believers, what if you don't resist and crumble?

So, taking the OT sacrifice without spot or blemish and connecting it to what Paul said makes sense. It may seem a stretch to some but God did not accept sick sacrifices and no reason God would change his mind and want us sick if we are to be a living sacrifice.

Same with sin, God does not want our body to be united with a living harlot. You know Cancer is also living? It's living death and I don't want my body united with that either, no more than a Harlot.

So I build my case and foundation for why it's God's will to heal me.

So Major, I want people to have more ammo to use at the devil than just "By his stripes we are healed and you better just believe that or die"

I want people to have reasons to believe for their healing, and it's only reason 2 out of many more.

So I tell God, My body is suppose to be a living sacrifice, but Lord I am sick and I can't obey that verse presenting you with a sick body. So I know all your ability is available to get me well again so that I can present to you a strong and healthy body. You don't want me untied with a Harlot any more than you want me to have to fight High blood pressure. Whatever you say do, I'll do. I'll loose the weight, I'll do what the doctor asks but the outcome will be healed completely.

So if it came out a bit strange, the connection is still there. Any sacrifice to God would be without sickness. I can go to God with that. He said let us reason together..... and I am bringing what he said to do some reasoning.

Great, so then you do not get sick and never will...love it...according to your interpretation then you are the ONLY actually redeemed person (regenerated and right with God according to your interpretation of the word)...and when it is time to die (though the word says whoever believes in Him will never perish) you will be healthy right to the last moment and then "POOF" gone to be with the Lord...(funny I wonder why Paul, who knew these things much better than you, who in fact the Spirit breathed these words through, got sick and God told Him His grace was sufficient for him...and don't forget Timothy's stomach ailments...oh thats right they were deceived and not in line with God's word)...

MichaelH...you cannot be serious...of course we will not enter heaven with any blemish...we are Christs and at death we shall be glorified...covered by His blood...those who remain and are alive at the parousia will be changed in the twinkling of an eye...we are not the sin offering or the peace offering, Jesus was, and still is, and He is without blemish (therefore we have peace with God and stand before Him as sinless)...we do not enter the Temple as a sacrifice ever (as you said we are the Temple, do we therefore enter ourselves to be sacrificed? No!)...you are misapplying these verses and coming to an incorrect conclusion....these bodies are the non-glorified flesh of the fallen old creation....even Paul knew that his tent was wearing out and would one day be "put off".

Now having said that I have also seen some healings (praise be to God) and I know God chooses to heal some and for His sovereign purpose chooses to not heal others (such as Paul) but the physical healing of this body is not guaranteed for all every time...Thats His decision to make...in some cases letting them pass on and get to go be with Him IS the superior healing.

    In His love

    brother Paul

  5. I don't think you read everything Brother Paul. What did I say about getting sick? Did I ever say you can't get sick? I never said any of these things, what I did was provide reason number 2 as to why we are healed. Reason 1 is in another thread.

Is it up to God if we get healed? What did Jesus say? He is still head of the Church and High priest right? Has he changed any?

I will admit, Paul took his beatings but when was Paul refused healing? That is not even a scripture anywhere.

Jesus said according to his faith? Or did he say according to your faith be healed?
Did Jesus ever say it's not my will to heal anyone? Has he changed any?

Peter explaining the man you see before you was made whole by faith in the name of Jesus. Is there no such thing as faith in Jesus name anymore? Has the name lost any authority?

This is what Faith is about Paul. We believe scripture over what we see and all natural circumstances. There is nothing in the Word that denotes God does not want us healed.

Now, you seen healing, so God can't be a respecter of any person right? What He done for one, He will do for you.

What did Jesus say in Luke 5 when asked if it was his will to heal? He already answered that question. You think He might have changed somewhere?

The man asked, You can do all things, if it be your will you can heal me.
Sounds a lot like what Jesus prayed in the Garden.

What Jesus say to the man................... He said....... I WILL.

    Settles it for me.

    Blessings.

  6. 2 Corinthians 12 we read...

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities (sicknesses), that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities (his sickness), in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Yes GOd would not remove the thorn in his flesh (not the spiritual problem) which was the infirmity he was well known for...most believe it was a problem with his eyes...and for Timothy Paul tells him to take a little wine for his stomach's sake and we all know the medicinal value (pro-biotics) of red wine on the digestive tract...it sounded however like you were saying if we get ill or suffer things like diabetes, etc., then we are lacking somehow...maybe I was incorrect...(and I do believe God heals...just not always and whether or not He chooses to is for His purpose)

So even in my infirmities I praise God (the lesson of Job)

  7. Brother Paul, I have been teaching faith and Healing for well over 15 years. Do you think I might have missed Paul's thorn or even Job?

out of respect I will save the explanation of both since I doubt you want to hear it.

Now the question I have to you. Lets say someone you are ministering to has cancer. You going to cover Job for them? Or you going to show Jesus healing all......... ALL........... ALL that were sick and oppressed of the devil? Jesus has never changed and Jesus never said he was not going to heal Paul.

What did Jesus say......... My grace is sufficient. What does sufficient mean? Don't have enough? No, it means more than enough. What did Paul ask Jesus to do? Remove this messenger of Satan from me that is buffeting me.

What was the Messenger doing to Paul with his satanic Message? What Paul said he was doing and hence Quoted the OT which he knew like the back of his hand.

What were thorns in the OT?

    Anyway........

    Be blessed.

  8. I see this as an attempt to divert. The thorn in His flesh was not the messenger from Satan...he did not ask for God to remove him, but the effect in his flesh. Tell us please what you think the messenger was doing to Paul with his satanic message?

IMO Paul already had no doubt, and was a man of incredible faith (as his own testimony here gives account to)...the messenger from satan was to remind him of his sinful humanity and human weakness and potential for sin (that we all share) so as to keep him humble in light of his revelation...and so when others saw or heard him they had no reason to exalt him.

Verse 6 says...For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

Verse 7 "quotes" no OT scripture...it refers in similarity to Job who was physically inflicted by Satan (whom God allowed)...the physical infliction brought the notion of Job's apparent imperfections ever in the sight of those surrounding him...Job maintained his steadfast faith despite the woes of his physical inflictions...but had no reason to boast.

  9. Now the question I have to you. Lets say someone you are ministering to has cancer. You going to cover Job for them? Or you going to show Jesus healing all......... ALL........... ALL that were sick and oppressed of the devil? Jesus has never changed and Jesus never said he was not going to heal Paul.

In fact He did eventually heal him...but you are amiss...Jesus did not heal ALL only all who came to Him in humility or were brought to Him by the faithful...and yes of course when I pray for the sick I pray with faith...how can I not, I know full well God CAN heal, and has on many occasions (my sister flat-lined twice but praise be to God she revived each time...but this last time she did not want to come back...she got a peek though the veil of glory and wanted to go...this last time I only prayed God take her peacefully and He did) but He does not always heal (for whatever reason He has I trust Him)...what I find interesting is sometimes it is according to one's faith and yet at other times (for His glory) He heals one who hither to fore did not believe

  10. Paul your getting it. It always has to do with Faith. Jesus healed all that were sick and oppressed of the devil. I am sure he could not get to everyone and hence said it's better that I go to the Father so you all won't have to stand in line.

    Something like that.

God always gets the glory when someone gets healed. Not just sometimes. In fact I thank God that a small cut heals up because he made our bodies to self repair. God did that.

Healing is never up to God.

It was never up to Jesus.

Study it out. What Jesus say to the Centurion? Jesus was going to see his servant but the centurion said what? Just speak the Word only and my servant shall be healed. Greater faith took over what Jesus was planing to do. That impressed him greatly.

You think it impresses him very much if we say......... You just never know what God is going to do?

Think he likes that? Not anymore than he did on earth. Will he find faith on earth? I hope.

    What caused Peter to sink?

Jesus said come out... With the command came the ability to Walk on water. Jesus sure was not happy he started to sink.

It was the will of the Lord Peter walked on the Water. God's Will does not always determine outcome and we don't determine God's will by outcomes.
Peter being afraid........ Begain to sink.......... Fear=defeat.

Remember the disciples who could not cast the devil out of that boy falling in the fire?

The best in the land could not cast that devil out........... did the determine the will of God?

Today people just give up and write stupid books on why God did not heal them. Nope, we prayed and nothing happened so it must be God's fault.

    hear me Paul?

NO, the best could not cast that devil out, but that did not determine the will of the Lord. The father came and asked Jesus if He could do anything. What Jesus say?

"I am the Lord, I can do everything!!!! Stand back boys and don't try this at home."

NO, he did not say that. Some think He should have said that, but he did not.

Jesus put it right back on the Father saying........ All things are possible to him that believe......... ALL

See, the man then humbled himself and said, Help my unbelief.

We need to do that, if our faith is not there, go to the author and finisher of our faith and ask for help.
It's never the will of God for people to have sickness. Never. We are the issue, Not God.

So even though the best in the World at the time could not cast out that devil because of their unbelief. It did not determine the will of God concerning that child.

You have seen some of it Brother Paul......... Rethink some doctrine here.

Women with the issue of Blood, who healed her? What Jesus say?

Why could Jesus not do any might works in his home town... What he marvel about?

The women from Canaan that came to Jesus about her Daughter. Jesus said I am not but sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel it is not met to take the childrens bread and cast it to the dogs.

What was Jesus doing? He was checking what the women believed. Most of us would have got offended and left.

She said, even the dogs get the crumbs from the Masters table. Jesus said, "Women your faith is great, be it even as thou will."

    Who's will??
    Who's faith?

    your close Brother Paul.

  11. So is faith also a power?

  12. I saw you posted and got excited. Aside from the trinity thing, your very level headed and even look at scripture. That impresses me.

So when I go to read this, you give me like six words.

    disappointing.

What did Jesus say................. I give you power. (Luke 10:19)
What Jesus say........ the works I do, you shall do also because I go to the Father and He will send the Holy Ghost.
What John say.............. Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the World.

So we tie these all together and find that any Power comes from the Holy Spirit.

What is faith then? substance of things Hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Don't sound like a lot of power there does it?

What's it mean though? The just shall walk by faith, not by sight. Faith is evidence of something we can't see.

Faith does not need to see. Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Rom 10:17) So then faith does not need to see but to believe what God said.

Faith never focuses on Natural circumstances. Peter got focused on the wind and waves, becoming afraid then begin to sink.

Peter focused on the wrong thing, what he could see.

How can you tell if you have faith?

your mouth will give you away.

Faith is something that comes from something spiritual and God gives the increase. Jesus said the Word starts as a mustard seed but when it grows up, it provides a place for birds to hang out. (Paraphrased a bit from Mark 4)

Real faith comes from the heart, not the head. I can mentally say the Word is true, but if it's not a heart thing my mouth will give me away.

why? Jesus said out of the abundance of the Heart the mouth speaks. Who can control the tongue?

So then faith is the ability to believe what God said, Past any physical evidence that says different.

What Abraham do, the Father of faith? he considered not his own body, but counted God faithful that promised.

Takes a lot of faith to believe Sarah at 100 years Old is going to have a baby and wait all those years.

Patience tries trust in God, Faith and Patience inherit the promises.

Faith is not power, it's ability through the word increased by the author and finisher of our faith.

Jesus said, what measure you mete to the Word, it is measured back to you again and more shall be given. No measure, no faith.

    blessings.

  13. Mike, I am on your side.....please believe me. I have seen things happen as well as you have. I have seen my daughter literally given life when she should have died.

I should be dead. I do not know how many times the Holy Spirit moved a bullet heading for my head and re-directed it.

I am with you my brother, I just what all of us to know and properly understand Bible verses and use them as they are intended.
For example, you have used Isaiah 53:5 several time as a basis to calim physical healing in the body.

If you chose to do that, and God blesses you in that way, excellent. But if you will look at the verse with an open heart you will see that it is not speaking to being physically healed at all.

    "But he was pierced for our transgressions;
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
    6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
    we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all".

It is all about SIN. We are all SIN sick and destined for torments, BUT God in His grace and mercy allowed Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, the Messiah to pay for humanities SIN.

  14. Paul....I have heard it said that the "thorn" in Paul's flesh was his bad eyesight.

Do you have any thoughts on what it was?

  15. BUT.......the question from brother Paul was............"So is faith also a power?"

I don't see your above responce as an answer to that question. So, what do you think????

  16. Wow, I am normally pretty none emotional but hearing about you and your daughter. Well, we have dust that gets in the air around here, you know.

I hate the devil, and I hate him lying about our great God. Deut 28 the punishment for disobedience was sickness, poverty, Marriage unfaithfulness, Mold in the home, You name it and it was all meant "Until thou be destroyed"

Sickness was never designed to teach us anything, it was designed to kill and take away the quality of life.

Examine Paul................. Satan was trying to kill Paul off and it's insight to how things work in the realm of the spirit with God and the devil in the OT.

Paul said, you all are puffed up but should have rather mourned the one that did this having sex with his fathers wife. By the authority of the name of Jesus I have turned him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh that his spirit may be saved.

Not teach him a lesson Major, but to destroy him and hopefully he at the end won't be condemned with the rest of the World.
Thank God in 2 Cor we see he repented and made it through.

It was not God punishing him, it was how it always worked. Sin and disobedience gives place to the destroyer. Paul just turned this guy over to the proper authorities.

Jesus bore that punishment we deserve, sickness included.

Story from a Marine and his men.

This came to our church from Iran. I guess one of the leading people of a platoon had his squad confess Psalm 91........ 1,000 at my right 10,000 at my left, it shall not come neigh me. No plague come neigh my dwelling. God will keep every one of us. The letter was signed by all that were in the squad.

It was night they went under a bridge and as they came on the other side gun fire erupted and 2 rocket launchers at their Humvee.
all testified that it was like a bubble around them and the rockets just seemed to hit and do nothing.

The Humvee had lots of bullet holes but nothing hit any of the men and the enemy they said got scared and ran.

They also sent picture of the Humvee and there would be no way nobody got hit they said.

    Job:
Examine Job 3:25 Major. 58 times warned to fear not. 48 Times warned to be not afraid. Job served God, but He gave someone a place. God had nothing to do with Job, and even said it was without cause in Job chapter 2.

check it out. Our God is awesome and good.

    Blessings.

  17. Michael, I worry for your faith. Christ is the salvation of the soul - that's the promise. If what you are saying were true - none of us would age - our flesh would not fail. I take it you have healed everyone around you? No - then it is the suffering who are to blame because they did not have enough faith? This goes dangerously down the road of hurting/harming people and also goes dangerously close to testing God.

  18. Silk......I agree with you my dear and that is one of the problems with the teaching of healing by men etc. evangelists.

It does not come close to testing God.......IT IS IN FACT TESTING GOD!

If I have enough faith then God will heal me. That is the process of "faith in faith". It is our holy God to whom we believe in, not faith in faith.

I love the Lord Jesus with all my heart and have been a Christian now for 50 years. I have been educated, taught beyound my intelligence and above all things, I wish more than it all combined that divine healing was a real thing that took place when we asked for it. But alas God also gave me a brain with common sense to live by.

IF, IF healing was a divine event where a man, example Benny Hinn had the ability to heal the sick and hurting, WHY THEN IN HEAVENS NAME WOULD HE/THEY SCHEDULE A HEALING EVENT IN A LARGE AREANA????

It make no logical sense whatsoever. Do we really believe that becuase we make a scheduled event somewhere, that God is going to show up for us at our beck and call????? Surely we are smarter than that.

If......IF YOU had a gift of healing would YOU be going to an event scheduled in the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville Fl?

NO YOU would not. You would not be found!!!!! You would be going from one hospital room to another, praying and touching the sick and hurting. You would not be found because you would be on the move as fast as your leggs would allow you to go.

    I gave scripture and a reason 1:

Jesus said all things are possible to them that believe. He said according to your faith be it done to you.

So then the question is................... Does someone that takes heed to the Word and believes get the same result as someone that does not?

It's not testing God if he said by my stripes ye are healed. He said that, I did not say that. It's no more testing God when Jesus said whosoever believes on me shall not perish.

If someone comes to give their life to Jesus, we don't tell them they are testing God do we?
God already said what he thinks about that.

I am showing what God thinks about our healing. Jesus never changed one bit.

If I could just get everyone healed I would. It does not work like that. Jesus said according to their faith be it done unto you.

Paul preaching perceived a man had faith to be healed and said rise up and walk. The man had to believe what Paul preached.

So, it's like the flood that came. One man took heed to what Jesus said, the other man who heard the same things did not take heed. Jesus said the man that did the Word is like the man that built his house on the rock. The other man lost his house.

All I am trying to show is that it's the Will of God we be healed. We can believe that just like it's the will of God that none should perish and come to the knowledge of the truth.

I am not saying it's impossible to get sick, what I am saying is that we don't have to accept it anymore than we accept going to hell.

I have given 3 reasons already in 3 different threads. All backed with scriptures. It's not like I am making stuff up, I am using scripture, after scripture, after scripture. It's not like I am coming up with a strange concept here. Our Lord healed all that were sick and oppressed of the devil. Jesus has never changed, not one time and I see no reason not to follow his example.

Just so we don't hurt anyone's faith. You suggest we tell them to doubt just a little bit, just in case?

  20. Tempting God:

Tempting God was demanding of God to give a sign of what He said was true. Isreal tempted God, did not believe most anything God told them. Collect mana when they should not be just in case God forgot to feed them the next day. On and on.

    Once again.

Tempting God was doing something physical putting a demand on God to perform or asking God to prove that he was not a liar. It's unbelief.

Isa 7:11 Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
Isa 7:12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.

Why would Ahaz say that? Because of what the Lord said to him already.

And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
    (Isa 7:9)

    Ahaz is a quick learner.

Mat 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Satan was wanting Jesus to prove who he was by jumping off and just believing Psalm 91: That is tempting God by just taking an action and expecting God to uphold your end of it or what you wanted to do.

Jesus said you shall take up serpents. He did not mean preach with poisonous snakes as this KY Pastor found out the hard way.
That is tempting God and being stupid.

Believing It's God's Will to save someone who comes to give their life to Jesus is not tempting God because they are believing what God said was true.

Believing God it's his will to heal you is not tempting God but believing what God said is true.

Believing something in the Word is not tempting God.

If I write a check and confess that the money will just be in the bank to clear it, saying God shall meet all my needs is tempting God.

We are told to pray according to the Will of God and if we do God hears us. If being healed is His will then praying for that is not tempting God.

Believing What God said is not tempting Him. Putting a demand by physical action to attempt to make him prove what He said, or asking him to prove what He said was true is tempting God.

And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
    (Luk 1:18)

That is tempting God........ How will I know? he was just told............... I am old though.......................
