What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

  16. Oh, I see now. It's not about tongues, in my understanding of this verse. I do get it, I just can't put it into words, hence the spirit. Thanks! [IMG]

Praying in the Spirit is praying in tongue because that does not come from your mind, your understanding. It comes from your Spirit when you are baptized with the Holy Spirit. And you can sing in tongues also, as God gives you a melody and words of a language you never learned. We can pray or sing with our understanding or without our understanding when we yield to God

  18. wow I never knew that o.o
