Various experiments over the years have investigated the placebo effect and the power of the mind. Yet scientists aren’t fully able to explain how the theory works and why some people really feel effects from what is essentially a sugar pill for example. Certain patients have even reported an improvement in their conditions after taking a placebo even when they found the pill was a fake, MedicineNet reported. In any drug experiment, a group of patients are given the real drug while the other half is given the placebo. Those who fare better usually determine the medicine’s effectiveness. Placebos can invoke both positive (healing) and negative (heart racing, palpitation) effects with a landmark 1955 research finding 32 per cent of patients across 26 studies reported a reaction to a placebo pill.

Actually, the word of God says the same thing, but again, we don't believe the word of God in practice.

Proverbs 23:7 "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he".

  6. Man you can think on a lie until it becomes truth to ya. Oh wait that sounds like the devil and the church.
