  1. Vice: Rebellious

Pr 28:2 When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a man of understanding and knowledge maintains order. That is like Jud 17:6 "In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes." But "everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves." Rom 13:1,2 Compliance to the reasonable demands of secular authority is part of the Christian life.

Among the Christian community there are heretics. "For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group." Tit 1:10, who reject the apostle's teachings and opt for allegiance to their own denomination leaders. "They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good." Tit 1:16
