1 Corinthians 2:7-9 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. These verses were in my reading today. It's amazing how the Bible can address every single subject that someone can throw at us. I think that this passage means that God reveals meaning of the Word to us through the Holy Spirit. I concluded that to understand the Word, we must be willing to. Asking God for wisdom and understanding will also help us understand the Word, and we should always do this before reading the Bible. This is one of the things I wrote in my journal today, "God has revealed His Word to us and the meaning of those words through the Holy Spirit. This is why we can explain anything in the Bible but nonbelievers [I wrote atheists] will still not understand. They are not willing to understand, so they don't".
