The tree is known by his fruit...

Discussion in 'Bible Study' started by Wheelz, Jan 23, 2015.

  1. The Lord will open our minds to the Scriptures in the Holy Spirit through His servants who will come in His authority…..having the Father’s name (authority) written upon their foreheads. They will be brothers.

But the “Diotrephes” of our day shall not receive those who will come in the Father’s authority just as he did not receive the brothers of yesterday. “Diotrephes”….meaning “nourished by Jupiter” (“Jupiter”= “heavenly father”)…represents all of the men in the churches who love to be first among them. They will exercise their authority over their congregations ….by saying that they do these things in the authority of God….and will be “nourished” by those who will call them be their flattering titles over the things of God. We are to call no man “father” or any other flattering title as we are all BROTHERS. We only have ONE Father who is in heaven. We are not to be called “master” or “teacher” or any other flattering title…..for we are all brothers.

Yet, those men who will love to be first (along with their flattering titles) will resist the brothers who will be sent to their congregations to preach the good Word of God to their ears. They will be found behaving badly….very unchristian like…as they will prate against the brothers with malicious words and will forbid their congregations from receiving those SENT by Him and will cast any out of their church who will receive them. “Diotrephes” represents the “man of sin” who will reveal himself in this coming time against the brothers who will be sent to them. The “man of sin” shall be many throughout all churches who will love to be first and will not humble themselves as they will despise government and speak evil of those “dignities” ….brothers sent to them to preach the Word of God in truth and sincerity.

    3 John 1:9-12 KJV
    (9) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

The Lord will remember their deeds which they will do as their sins shall be “retained” in heaven.

    (10) Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

But we are NOT to follow after “Diotrephes” in his evil but rather do good towards what we hear and towards those brothers. We are to let brotherly love continue and entertain those “strangers”. We shall be persecuted and cast out of their churches for doing so…but that is how we shall in the suffering of Christ.

    (11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
    (12) Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.

We are to “go forth” unto Him “without the camp”….outside their churches…..while bearing His reproach for they will persecute us for His sake and the gospel’s of which they will not believe in.

    Hebrews 13:12-14 KJV
    (12) Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
    (13) Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
    (14) For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

We are NOT to follow their “pernicious ways” which will bring upon themselves swift destruction…. but rather we are to DO GOOD.

    2 Peter 2:1-2 KJV
    (1) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
    (2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

They will not receive the love of the Truth so that they might be saved but instead will have pleasure in their unrighteousness.

    2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 KJV
    (10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

They shall believe in THE lie so that they may be judged who believe not the Truth.

    (11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
    (12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Whoever will “kill” you with their malicious words will think that he is doing God service.

    John 16:1-3 KJV
    (1) These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
    (2) They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
    (3) And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

THE lie is found in the very beginning where the serpent said unto the woman “Ye shall not surely die”. The literal translation is: “Killing, you shall not die”. Meaning: by “killing” another with malicious words you shall not die but have “peace and safety”.

    Genesis 3:4-6 KJV
    (4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

The lie continues: “for God does know”….that is, you are doing God “service” for “killing” (those who will receive the love of the Truth and those who will preach it). They will see themselves doing these things in the name of God…in His authority.

In the day that you eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil. “gods” = Elohim = JUDGES. They will see themselves as WISE (your eyes shall be opened) and be as judges for God (doing these things in His name) as they will call those who will do His will “evil doers” because they will no longer run in their denominations of men with them. They will speak evil of their brothers who will receive and preach the Truth in this coming time.

    (5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Whoever speaks evil of his brother and judges his brother (ye shall be as gods… “JUDGES”, knowing good and evil) is NOT a DOER of the law of Christ to have love for one another. We are to have brotherly love at all times even when we do not agree with what a brother is saying.

    James 4:11-12 KJV
    (11) Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

We are not as “gods”…. JUDGES…for there is only one Lawgiver.

    (12) There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another

The woman in the garden inserted a fleshly….carnal…. commandment along with what God had commanded: “neither shall ye touch it”. There is only one Lawgiver. How many men have used their carnal commandments of men to judge each other over?

    Genesis 3:1-3 KJV
    (1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
    (2) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
    (3) But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

We can NOT eat of the fruit of that “tree”. We can not use our tongues to both bless God and also curse men. Out of the SAME mouth (tree) proceeds blessing and cursing.

    James 3:8-18 KJV
    (8) But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
    (9) Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
    (10) Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
    (11) Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
    (12) Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

The woman desired to be seen as wise….just as many men do as they speak evil of one another. But who is the truly wise man that is endued with knowledge among us? Those who will show out of good behavior his works with meekness of wisdom.

    (13) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
    (14) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth

Let us not listen to THE lie….which is of the serpent….earthly, sensual and devilish. We are not to eat of that tree….blessing God and cursing men in our envy and strife with the same mouth.

    (15) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
    (16) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

WE are FREE to eat of the other trees of the garden: the fruit of righteousness.

    (17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
    (18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Either make the tree good and his fruit good or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt. The “tree” shall be known by his fruit….for out of the mouth will come what is in the abundance of the heart.

    Matthew 12:33-37 KJV
    (33) Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
    (34) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
    (35) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
    (36) But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
    (37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
