  1. This is not about making personal attacks on any Catholics on here, or any Catholics in general.

    People need to aware and shown what this office/ Title of This man really stands for.

    Let us start from the beginning. The RCC declares Apostle Peter was thy're first Pope. This is simply a bona fide falsehood made up to connect them to being the First Century Only Church started by Jesus. They do this by hijacking this verse in Matthew 16 verse 18 where Jesus tells Peter " Upon this Rock I will build my Church" The Vatican claims from this verse that Jesus told Peter he ( Peter) was " The Rock" "and The Church Jesus started would be built on Peter and I suppose whatever Peter said or taught? This is what it appears like. The First falsehood the Vatican claims; Peter IS the Rock. The KJV tells us in John 1 v 42: ( Jesus said) " Thou art Simon, the son of Jona, Thou shalt be called Cephas" which is by interpretation a STONE".

    So Jesus told Peter ( Cephas, A Stone) He would build his Church ( Jesus, The ROCK of our Salvation). Not Peter or anybody else' s Church. Also thumb through Psalms to see how many verses talk about God being THE ROCK, not any mortal man.

    Peter never acted or talked like a Universal CEO of a Church.

    I Peter 5 verses 1 and 3: Apostle Peter tells the Church he was a Church elder. A title given to a Pastor or a Minister. Verse 3 He says " Neither as being LORDS OVER GOD' S HERITAGE, but being EXAMPLES to the Flock.

    So is being an " example" sitting on a throne in a palace? How about riding in a bulletproof " Pope Mobile"??... Having World leaders come visit, and bow and kiss a " Fisherman' s ring"? All these are simply exposing the proverbial " "Wolf in Sheep' s Clothing".

    Jesus himself told his Apostles this: (Mark 10 v 42 & 43) Jesus stated: " You know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and their GREAT ONES exercise authority upon them.
    But so it NOT BE AMONG YOU: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be YOUR MINISTER" Notice: NOT " Administrator".

    Have got Church to go unto. Add your thoughts feel free..Thanks,

  2. OK back from Church. Let me stop here to address my own situation from my past. I was born, baptized, educated in The Catholic Religion never once ever doubting they were teaching us kids the exact truth. Never had a Nun or Priest Molest me or anyone else I knew. My.experience with.Catholicism had do with me leaving that Religion, I dropped out at age 18 when I went in The Navy. All the way through the Military and for years after, I never once thought anything bad or wrong against the RCC. My entire still in the RCC. I love them still we never discuss what scripture says, because they all let me know they do not want to hear about it, etc, etc.....So we discuss other things and love each others. I got into Bible.believing after I went and got converted and Born Again of the Water and Spirit in late 1987. I felt totally different then when I was in the RCC and as a Hard core sinner later. God and sent me.and my.Filipino.wife to her.homeland for 3 years as a Missionary. For those not familiar; The Philippines is about 85% RCC. The other 15% is Mormons, Seventh Day Adventist, Pentecostal, Baptist.and Iglesias Ni Christo ( Church of Christ). I assigned myself to One of The largest Churches in The Philippines who teaches like the church teaches here where I lived..same teachings...Same.Doctrines and the Bible.teaches..No personal beliefs or man made beleifs. They had Churches all over the Philippines teaching.the same.doctrines. The Main Church I was in was in Manila. The Congregation and Visitors met in outdoor Stadiums, because no church building could hold the volume of people..5,000 -9,000 people.was the norm every service. In Manila. While there, I witnessed people demon possessed.brought forth and the Devil cast out....Instant healing.of various sicknesses. This Church believes in Fasting and Prayer as the Lord instructed his Apostles to see results. We just lived by pure faith and never missed a meal, etc. This is when I prayed to The.Lord and sought him with.all I had to teach me.his word.and understanding. I also wanted to especially learn about what the RCC teaches..and what all they taught was true and.what was false. I just.was hungry to learn from God If I had done the right thing when I converted. I had to know for certain...and then over the next.3 years he showed me...
  3. Wow thank you for sharing Rick. Very interesting. I only need to read my Bible to come across falsehoods that I recognize from my catholic upbringing. It's astonishing! I know that being born again is the truth because I was made new in that instant that I believed. I've never felt the need for the extras. Jesus + nothing!

    Very disturbing the way the pope is treated. Jesus is King! It just feels so wrong.

  4. Who is the "vicar" of Jesus?
    Everyone who repents, is baptized in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin...", and has received the Holy Spirit...I mean REALLY received the Holy Spirit.

  6. Mat 16:18 “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
    Mat 16:19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”

    indeed .. the Greek says Petros & petra
    but many scholars stumble on these verses not knowing the Hebrew, which was spoken and then put into Greek ..
  7. HEBREW ..

    Exd 17:6 - rock - tsuwr (a rock)
    Num 20:8 - rock - cela` (rocks that hide)
    Job 8:17 - rock - gal - (? )
    Jer 4:29 - rock - Keph (a rock fortress)

    Job 8:17 - stone - 'eben (a stone)
    1Ki 5:17 - stone - gaziyth (hewn stone)
    Isa 28:16 - corner - pinnah (usage include corner stone)
    Hebrew keph
    Aramaic Ceph

    Hebrew Kepha
    Aramaic Cephas

    Hebrew Kepha
    noun with pronominal suffixes, which then stand in a genitive relation.
    fem. a, et and it.

    note: adding of the "a" as a suffix (fem) would denote less formative then Keph without the "a" (male)

    Keph H3710
    Outline of Biblical Usage
    rock, hollow of a rock
    GREEK ..

    Mat 7:24 - rock - petra (a rock)

    Mar 15:46 - stone - lithos (a stone)
    Jhn 2:6 - stone - lithinos (hewn stone)
    Luk 20:17 - corner - gōnia (usage include corner stone)

    "os" added as a suffix to a noun to form an adjective meaning "with something".
    kar (arm) karos (something with an arm)
    "a" added as a suffix to a noun to form an adjective meaning "without something".
    kar (arm) kara (something without an arm)

    thus when Jesus called/likened Simon Peter to a petros, it would be akin to the Hebrew keph or Aramaic Ceph (meaning the stronghold of rock) .. and when Jesus called/likened the other Apostles to a petra, it would be akin to the Hebrew Kepha or Aramaic Cephas (less formative thus fem genative)

  8. the English word Keep (as in castle keep) is derived from the Hebrew and carries the same meaning (also pronounced the same way) .. "the stronghold" .. in ancient times, shepherds defended themselves and their herds from "areas surrounded by rocks" and what a Kepha/Cepha is ..
  9. Hebrew keph or Aramaic Ceph ..
    a rare word found only in Jeremiah 4:29 and Job 30:6, where it has the sense of mountain crags or rocky terrain.

    Jer 4:29 At the sound of the horseman and bowman every city flees; They go into the thickets and climb among the rocks; Every city is forsaken, And no man dwells in them.

    Job 30:6 So that they dwell in dreadful valleys, In holes of the earth and of the rocks. H3710

    Keph H3710
    Outline of Biblical Usage
    rock, hollow of a rock

    hence the English word castle "keep" is derived from the Hebrew Keph .. the fortified place ..

    and the Hebrew Kepha (fem) is a less formable place in comparison to a Keph (male)
    or the Aramaic Cephas (fem) is a less formable place in comparison to a Ceph (male)

    thus Kepha or Cephas is used BECAUSE Simon Peter was not THE MAIN Keph or Ceph .. that is God/Jesus ..

    9x out of 10, when they want to say "rock" in the OT they use the general term "tsuwr" ..

    also what is noteworthy, normally Jesus called Simon Peter Kepha or Cephas (adding the fem suffix) meaning he was less then Jesus (but a rock fortress nonetheless) .. but in Mat 16:18, Jesus now deletes the lesser fem suffix in His address of Simon Peter, and calls him petra, and gives the lesser petros to the other Apostles when charging them all to build His church ..

    in other words before it was written in Greek, Jesus in Mat 16:18 would have said "you are Keph or Ceph, and with these Kepha or Cephas (denoting the other Apostles) build my church ..

    so Jesus gave him the authority from that point forward, keys and all ..

    sy eimi Petros

    SY is YOU .. not ON
    EIMI is ARE .. not THIS

    houtos = these not "I" .. I is ego
    petra = stones not "WILL" ..

    oikodomeō = build .. they got 1 right

    kagō = also I
    legō = say
    ..... (to)
    sy = you
    hoti = because
    sy = you
    eimi = are
    ..... (the)
    Petros = rock, (Kepha or Cephas or Peter)
    kai = and
    epi = with
    houtos = these
    petra = stones,
    oikodomeō = build
    egō = my
    ekklēsia = church

    note: kagō carries the personal possessive at the end ..

    ALL the Apostles were the foundation ..
    Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
    (most likely Jesus spread His hands out at this point (in reference to the other Apostles) much like when He said "these are my mother, brothers and sisters)
  11. "You are Peter (a piece of rock), and upon this rock (mass of rock) will I build my Church."
    The rock Jesus was referring to was not Cephas (Peter): but Cephas (Peter) had received that portion (piece of confession) from " Father which is in heaven." That confession (" are the Christ, the son of the living God), is the confession on which Christianity stands: for if we do not believe that Jesus is the son of God, neither will we believe that he is "...the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world."
    Because Cephas (Peter) was the first to receive that truth, he was given the "...keys to the kingdom of heaven...": and he was the first to preach the gospel to "...Jerusalem and all Judea, in Samaria, and unto the ends of the earth (the Gentiles)."
  12. your definitions are flawed .. and I showed you why ..
    yet you nay-say with no explanation of WHY you are trying to change the definition given in the OT ..

    also the Greek does NOT say Jesus is building anything ..
    which I also pointed out ..

  13. Yes, I know: you're a good little catholic...the pope must be very proud of you!
  14. is that suppose to be a slur ???
    perhaps you should submit to God and be katholiko as Jesus prayed we would in the Gospel of John ..
  15. What? Does being a good little catholic offend you?
  16. no it doesn't .. however I have already said, my only affiliation is God's church/people whom you can find some in ALL Christian denominations ..

    why .. was it meant to offend me ???
    my guess is yes, by your use of "little" ..
  17. no it doesn't .. however I have already said, my only affiliation is God's church/people whom you can find some in ALL Christian denominations...
    Very well. Of a truth, one find find Christians in ALL denominations.
    Beloved, if Jesus is not building his Church, who is? Can a human build His Church, which it is spiritual? Are we, the Church, not called to bring the Lord the gold, silver, and precious stones to build the Temple/Church?

    actually, that is a many faceted answer ..

    Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
    Eph 2:21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,
    Eph 2:22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

    we have free will to accept or reject God ..
    we also are told to preach the Gospel ..
    and by that preaching, others will also believe ..
    those who are bishops, elders and decons have a responsibility (as we do too) to preach that Gospel as it was handed down to us ..
    the Apostles whom Jesus told to build the church are who gave us the Gospel ..

    yes, all is from God as the source of course, but He has made us His Ambassadors to do this work for Him ..

    2Cr 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

    I have always felt that any you may lead to the Lord, become a responsibility to you that they are then not led astray or lose heart .. so we should keep a fellowship with any that you do lead to the Lord .. for a newbie to than fall away is a heart breaking thing ..

    God Bless you ..
  19. this then goes into the Master who's servants are workers of His vineyard ..
    He then goes away (but gives us the Helper/HS) and when He comes back ..
    He expects His vineyard to have been worked ..

    Mat 24:48 “But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’
    Mat 24:49 and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards;
    Mat 24:50 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know,

    Mat 25:26 “But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed.

    so the HS does help us, but it is OUR JOB to do the work (sow the seeds) ..
