    Hello there,

Those of you who know me from past entries will have realised that I believe that the truth particularly associated with the Church which is the Body of Christ (Eph. 1:22'23) is found in the epistles written from prison, by Paul, as 'the Lord's Prisoner'. I have listed those epistles many times, but now I would like to give evidence from their content, that they are so:-

    * Ephesians is a prison epistle.
"For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles" (3:1).
"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you" (4:1)
"The mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds."(6:19,20)

    * Philippians is a prison epistle.
"Both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel" (1:7).
"My bonds in Christ are manifested in all the palace." (1:13)
"Many of the brethren ... ... waxing confident by my bonds" (1:14).
"Supposing to add affliction to my bonds" (1:16)
"All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of the household of Caesar's household" (4:22)

    * Colossians. Is a prison epistle
"The mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds" (4:3)
"Aristarchus my fellow prisoner salutation you" (4:10)
    "Remember my bonds" (4:18)

    * 2 Timothy is a prison epistle
"Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of the Lord, nor of me His prisoner" (1:8)
"Wherein I suffer trouble ... ... even unto bonds" (2:9)
"At my first answer no man stood with me" (4:16)

    * Philemon is a prison epistle
"Paul ... a prisoner of Jesus Christ" (1)
"Now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ" (9)
"Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds" (10)
"He might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel" (13)
"There salutary thee Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus" (23)

    * Here then are five epistles, each one unmistakably written by Paul while in prison. These contain the writings associated with Paul's final and unique ministry to the Church of the One Body. Which is built upon the truth contained in Romans 5:12 - 8:39 concerning the believer' s identification with Christ, in His death, burial, quickening, and resurrection. It is in Ephesians that this blessed identification is taken further to identification with Christ in His ascension to God's right hand

    Praise His Name!

    Thank you,
    In Christ Jesus
    Our risen and glorified,
    Saviour, Lord and Head

  2. Paul was a prisoner for the Lord. Even though it was in those tough situations where he could had lost his life at any single minute in which he would later do. But he was suffering for in the name of the Lord. For those that needed to know him. He paved the way for others who are in his plight even to this day. And die and/or are in prison for the Gospel of Jesus over in forbidden countries.
